Hot Pucking Stacks

As the hockey regular season comes to end this week’s schedule will lighten up and give us a few chances to try something new! This week will also present some golden opportunities if we are willing to take the risk. There have been 80 total games played so far this season and I am asking you to get out of your comfort zone and build in a completely different direction.

This time of the year, without fail, we see a drop in entries and contests as folks just naturally flock to baseball. Fair enough, but it is the perfect time to enter GPPs, log your entries, log other entries, and chart it all. Might seem tedious but this week is the perfect time to learn. I am not asking you to willingly lose for the sake of science. Merely to try a different way. The experience this week can give us is priceless!

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS at Chicago Blackhawks 8p EST

Kevin Hayes L1 & PP1(FD-$12,000)(DK-$8,200)
Scott Laughton L1 & PP2(FD-$9,000)(DK-$6,000)
Travis Konecny L1 & PP1(FD-$12,500)(DK-$7,600)
Bobby Brink L2 & PP1(FD-$6,000)(DK-$2,400)

The Philadelphia Flyers head to Chicago to battle the Chicago Blackhawks tonight at the United Center. Philadelphia sits 8th overall in the Metropolitan with a lackluster 24-43-11 record. However, the Flyers have won their last two games! Against the likes of Montreal(6-3) and Pittsburgh(4-1) on Sunday.

On another positive note, the Flyers have won their last six games against the Blackhawks. Furthermore, Philadelphia is 13-4-0 against Chicago going all the way back to the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals. The positivity was fun while it lasted but the Flyers are a measly 3-8-4, this year, on the second game of a back-to-back. So which streak/statistics should be hanging our hat on?

Of the three men on this first line, it is Travis Konecny who has done the most damage this year. Travis has scored 16 goals and 35 assists to go along with 51 total points.

Beautiful five-game MLB DFS Main slate tonight!

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS vs. Philadelphia Flyers 8p EST

Dylan Strome L1 & PP1(FD-$11,500)(DK-$8,800)
Patrick Kane L1 & PP1(FD-$16,000)(DK-$10,600)
Alex DeBrincat L1 & PP1(FD-$15,500)(DK-$9,800)
Taylor Raddysh L3 & PP1(FD-$7,000)(DK-$2,000)

Chicago heads home amid a two-game losing streak. The Blackhawks lost to the Sharks on Saturday. Overall Chicago is 26-42-11 on the year which is 7th in the Central. The Blackhawks have only won two of their last ten games. While their home record, 12-21-6, leaves a lot to be desired.

It’s not nice to kick a man while he is down so I will hold back personal judgment against the Blackhawks here. Seeing how bad the Red Wings have been this season I think it’s best to keep to the numbers. Looks as though Chicago will start Kevin Lankinen in goal tonight. Kevin is 6-15-6 this year and has given up 102 goals. Lankinen also bears the weight of a 3.64 goals-against average in addition to a .887 save percentage.

Chicago is also 1-6-2 in their last nine games at home. They are also 4-14-3 in their last 21 games at the United Center. Their 21 total home losses so far this season is a team-low dating all the way back to the 2000-01 season. On a positive note, Patrick Kane is on the cusp of his 750th career assist which would put him in rarified air among American-born hockey players.

There is no bonus to be given out tonight. I feel as if this game is like Let’s Make a Deal, and we have been zonked. No worries! As stated above let’s use tonight to either rest or get out of our comfort zone. Chicago is 8-29 in their last 37 Monday games. While the Blackhawks are 0-4 in their last 4 games against Eastern Conference teams.

Truth be told, I am stacking the heck out of the Flyers tonight as I expect them to win by a final score of 5-2!
