Hope springs eternal. Or can it be spring springs eternal? Regardless, a large portion of us is looking ahead to sunnier days! Both literally and figuratively! I have no cute spring quotes or any fun sunny statements. Just the idea that as the weather changes so will a lot of our attitudes!

There are four games on the NHL schedule tonight. Each one is fantastic in its own right! I have always been a fan of smaller schedules and tinier slates. My move is to choose two teams, a stack from each, and explore them! Mixing-and-matching in other players or half-sacks along the way!

Let’s talk hockey, shall we? Here is what I am thinking for tonight’s hockey games.

ST LOUIS BLUES L2 vs. Arizona Coyotes 8p EST

Robert Thomas L2 & PP2(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,300)
Pavel Buchnevich L2 & PP2(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,600)
Vladimir Tarasenko L2 & PP1(FD-$7,500)(DK-$6,400)

The St. Louis Blues heads home tonight after a successful three-game road trip. While Arizona skates into St. Louis as well, not good. One of, if not, the worst teams in hockey. The Yotes have an overall record of 22-42-5 and have lost 4 of their last 5 games played including a 5-0 drubbing by the Anaheim Ducks. Who, if I may say, hadn’t won since the beginning of March. That’s how bad it’d gotten for Arizona. After losing Clayton Keller to a broken leg the wheels have completely fallen off for the Yotes.

Mr. Tarasenko is tied for the team lead in goals(23), third on the team in assists(36), and second in total points(59). Vlad is just a pure fluid stud. He has also accumulated 191 shots on goal. Pavel Buchnevich is not too far behind Vlad in goals(23), assists(31), and SOG(173).

I was racking my brain here on what to say to sell you on stacking the Blues tonight. Then, it came to me! The best possible way to get my point across is just by mentioning The Blue’s opponent tonight, The Arizona Coyotes. There is absolutely no way around using the Blues tonight, at home. It would be wise to start building your lines right here with all St. Louis skaters.

Look for a dominating, stifling, and impressive performance by the Blues. St. Louis will win tonight with a final score of 6-1!

STACK ADDITION! Justin Faulk L2 & PP2(FD-$4,900)(DK-$4,500)

Last time out Justin Faulk was the man for the Blue’s offense after scoring one goal and adding two assists on around 23 total minutes on the ice. Looking at this second line for St. Louis it would be a huge error in judgment to not toss in Justin Faulk as well.

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS L2 at Tampa Bay Lightning 7:30p EST

John Tavares L2 & PP1(FD-$7,600)(DK-$6,200)
Ilya Mikheyev L2 & PP2(FD-$5,000)(DK-$4,300)
Alexnader Kerfoot L2(FD-$5,000)(DK-$2,700)

Toronto remains on the road Monday as they tussle with the Lightning. The Maple Leafs are 44-19-5 on the season which is good for 2nd in the Atlantic. The Lightning are 3rd in the Atlantic with a 43-18-7 record. Tampa Bay has also won six of their last ten games! No signs of slowing down for either team! We are in for a treat with this one.

The Lighting has been outstanding at home this season. Their 21-6-5 home record speaks to this. While Toronto is hotter than fish grease looking for their fifth straight win. Toronto’s first line is always in play but much like Saturday’s Hot Puck, we need to take a calculated risk with their second line. Only four games on the schedule so it would be wise to build as uncomfortably as possible.

Without a doubt the most stackable game in the evening but Toronto keeps it rolling! The Maple Leaf’s win in Tampa with a final score of 4-3!

BOSTON BRUINS L2 at Columbus Blue Jackets 7p EST

Erik Haula L2(FD-$4,200)(DK-$3,800)
David Pasternak L2 & PP1(FD-$8,800)(DK-$8,000)
Taylor Hall L2 & PP1(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,100)

The Boston Bruins kick off the week on the road in Ohio. I cannot think of a worse way to start my week. Jokes aside, The Bruins are 4th in the Atlantic Division with a 43-20-5 record. Boston has recently played and beat, the Blue Jackets on Saturday 5-2.

The Blue Jackets are currently slumping as they are smack dab in the middle of a six-game losing streak. Overall, Columbus is 32-32-5 on the season but technically ‘is still in the hunt’ for a playoff spot. 6th in the Metropolitan. The Blue Jackets are also 3-7 in their last ten games and clinging to an ok home record of 18-14-3.

Boston is 7-1 in their last 8 games vs. Eastern Conference teams. Boston is 4-0 in their last 4 games vs. Metropolitan teams. Columbus is also 0-5 in their last 5 games vs. Eastern Conference teams.

All signs point to a Boston beatdown tonight in Ohio. Bruins win by a final score of 6-2!
