Happy Friday! Happy day 2 of Opening Day! There is also something to be thankful for. There is also something to be grateful for. As the weather turns and we welcome in spring take stock of what makes you happy. Write it down, tell someone, make a phone call, give someone a kiss, and let it be known!

These days, weeks, and months are moving too fast to leave anything unsaid. Everything we do should have a purpose. Whether that purpose is love, anger, or excitement let it be known! Tonight, the hockey schedule is only five games and it is shaping up beautifully!

FLORIDA PANTHERS L2 vs. Buffalo Sabers 7p EST

Claude Giroux L2 & PP1(FD-$6,600)(DK-$4,900)

I won’t spend too much time here with the Panthers. If you’re an avid Hot Puck fan, then you know the deal. Florida is just absolutely rolling and looks to make it six consecutive wins tonight, at home, against the Sabres. The Panthers are first in the Atlantic with an outstanding overall record of 49-15-6. Which is good for 104 total points, only two behind the Avalanche for the President’s trophy! Florida has also clinched a playoff spot.

Jonathan Huberdeau just became the first player for the Florida Panthers to hit 100 points in a season. Mr. Huberdeau is the leader of the Panthers in assists(76) and in points(102). Florida is scoring, on average, 4.20 goals a game while only allowing around 2.90 goals a game. The Panther’s power play is buzzing and scoring 24% of the time.

The Buffalo Sabres are scoring, on average, 2.70 goals a game while allowing a whopping 3.50 a game. Florida should have a field day against Buffalo at home tonight. I wouldn’t even be shocked to see Florida fool with their line combos in advance of a deep playoff run.

The Florida Panthers will smash Buffalo tonight by a final score of 6-1!

ST. LOUIS BLUES L2 vs. Minnesota Wild 8p EST

The St. Louis Blues host the Minnesota Wild tonight at the Enterprise Center. Which is their third straight home game and are looking for their third straight win! While the Minnesota Wild have been strong on offense this year scoring, on average, 3.60 goals a game. While firing off around 33 shots a game. There is absolutely no issue here between these two teams from an offensive point of view.

St. Louis and their offense has been scoring, on average, 3.75 goals a game on around 31 total shots. First-line center Robert Thomas leads the Blues in assists with 44. Furthermore, second-line winger, Vladimir Tarasenko has accumulated a team-high 25 goals. Vlad has also registered 199 total shots this season.

It is also worth mentioning newly acquired Wild goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury, was awful last time out giving up five goals on only 32 total shots. His save percentage took a hit too and has fallen to .844. Yet another reason why I love the idea of stacking up Blues tonight. The total has gone over in 10 of the Blue’s last 14 games.

I am certain this game starts out fast and gets nasty! Expect the Blues to pull away and prevail at the end with a final score of 4-2!

STACK ADDITION! Jordan Kyrou L3 & PP1(FD-$6,000)(DK-$

As of now, Kyrou leads the Blues in total points with 63. Jordan also scored a goal on 8 total shots last time out against the Kraken. I have no issue with him being on the third line or the second power-play unit. By using STL1 and Kyrou we get a little taste of everything the Blues have to offer tonight. The second line, the first power-play, and the second power-play unit. If you want to mix and match this stack with Brandon Saad(L1 & PP1 FD-$4,700 DK-$3,800) then that gives us a little exposure to the first line.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS L1 at Carolina Panthers 7p EST

The Islanders stay on the road tonight as they head to Carolina to battle the Hurricanes. The Isles are four games above .500 with an overall record of 32-28-9. New York has been pedestrian on offense scoring, on average, 2.80 goals a game while firing about 30 shots a game. Brock Nelson leads the Isles with 50 points and in goals with 33 and is an integral part of this franchise.

Look, Carolina is no slouch but there are a few betting trends here I find important. They are as follows.
The Isles are 4-0 in their last 4 games vs. an Eastern Conference opponent.
The Isles are 4-0 in their last 4 games vs. Metropolitan Division opponents.
The Isles are 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

People may be quick to discount the Islanders in favor of a good Carolina Hurricanes team. That is exactly the mindset and leverage we need as the hockey season is winding down. This game could go either way tonight. Carolina 4-3? New York 4-3?

When all is said and done I do believe the Islanders win by a final score of 4-3!
