Weather Notes
We’ve got a few weather notes to consider, mainly on the East Coast. The Yankees, Phillies, and Washington are all at home, and there’s a slight chance of rain for these games. However, it’s nothing too concerning, and we should still be looking to target hitters in these matchups.
Pitching Options
Let’s talk about the pitching options for tonight’s slate. At the top, we have some high-priced pitchers.
Blake Snell (Price: $10,600) – Snell is undoubtedly the best pitcher on tonight’s slate. However, he faces a tough matchup on the road against Houston, a team that’s been hitting home runs for fun. Rostering a pitcher against Houston is always a bit risky, so while Snell is a great option, he might be more suited for tournament play tonight.
Kodai Senga (Price: $10,800) – is in an excellent spot for the Mets. He’s a rookie with an impressive 29.3% strikeout rate, low home run rate, and faces a Minnesota team with the highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. Senga offers both safety and upside tonight.
Jordan Montgomery (Price: $10,000) – Montgomery is interesting due to his matchup against Oakland. While he doesn’t have a high strikeout rate, he generates ground balls and doesn’t allow many home runs. Oakland’s offense isn’t particularly intimidating, making Montgomery a solid choice for cash games.
Stacking Options
Moving on to stacking options, we’ve got some fantastic teams to consider, including the Dodgers and the Braves, who are in excellent spots. However, let’s look at a few other teams worth targeting tonight.
Toronto Blue Jays – They’re at home against the Kansas City Royals, who are expected to start with an opener followed by Alec Marsh. Marsh has a high walk rate and allows home runs, making the Blue Jays a potent stack tonight. Look at players like David Schneider, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and George Springer.
Baltimore Orioles – The Orioles are playing at Fenway Park against Tanner Ha, a pitcher with a high walk rate and home run issues. Baltimore hitters, including Cedric Mullins and Ryan Mountcastle, have power and are in a good spot tonight.
Milwaukee Brewers – The Brewers are on the road against the struggling Luis Serrano of the Yankees. Serrano has a low strikeout rate and allows home runs. What’s great about the Brewers tonight is that they have affordable hitters, making it easier to fit them into your lineups. Look at players like Willy Adames, Carlos Santana, and Mark Hannah.
Dong Calls
If you’re looking for potential home run hitters tonight, consider:
- Carlos Santana from the Milwaukee Brewers, as he has lefty power and faces Luis Serrano.
- Corey Seager from the Texas Rangers, who is still hitting the ball well and goes up against Paul Blackburn.
That wraps up our MLB DFS preview for tonight’s slate. Remember to stay updated with the latest news and lineup changes closer to the games, and good luck with your DFS contests!
