There are many things that you can do with our MLB DFS study hub. It’s loaded with information and has many different functions that you can mess around with. We have these study hubs for MLB DFS, NBA DFS, NFL DFS, NASCAR DFS, NHL DFS, PGA DFS, and MMA DFS. Today, I wanted to break down different ways to use the Study Hub with examples of filters used. These are up to the user for what metrics and at what levels they’d like to use for each category. The world is your oyster!
These are the last 14-days of team-by-team splits vs. starting pitcher-handedness. Basically, you can get a quick glimpse of which teams are HOT vs. handedness of pitcher based on splits alone.
This is a list of hitters with a .400 wOBA / .300 ISO split with at least 20 Plate Appearances over the last 30-days of baseball.

The DraftKings Value category was filtered by “Above Average”. The DraftKings ownership % category was filtered by players less than 10% owned (filtered as 0.1 to get this result).

I really like how @Eagsixcards, broke down his article yesterday. So, you what what they say, right? Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. So let’s see if we can use his though process to be successful again today. Let’s take the hot hitters (.400 wOBA and .300 ISO) over the last 7 days with a minimum plate appearance of 9 and see what we get.
El Tigres or in English, the Tigers have the most players on the list with four (Baddoo, Calendario, Grossman, and Haase). On FanDuel the Tigers are expected to be the 6th best stack and carry the 7th most ownership, while over on DraftKings they rank as the 4th best team to stack but are expected to have the 3rd most ownership.
They are followed by the Astros with three hitters on the list – Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve, and Kyle Tucker. On FanDuel the Astros are expected to be the 8th best stack while carrying the 6th most ownership, while on DraftKings they are the 6th best stack and are expected to have the 6th most ownership.
There are two teams tied with two players – Toronto Blue Jays (Hernandez and Springer) and Seattle Mariners (Haniger and Raleigh).
There are some other one-offs that should allow us to build a decent lineup solely based on this list here.
Pitching on this slate seems to get ugly rather quickly. The two top arms on the slate are Luis Garcia and Shohei Otani. They are also the most expensive arms on the slate at $10,400 and $9,200 respectively over on DraftKings and $10,000 and $11,000 on FanDuel. In looking at the prices alone, Ohtani is the better play on DraftKings, while Garcia would be my preferred play on FanDuel.
I don’t think this is going to be slate where can go overly contrarian on at the pitching position, but if I was going to take a gamble anywhere it would most likely be on German Marquez going against the Angels.
As you can see he is adequately priced on FanDuel, but is a bargain on DraftKings, and could potentially be a price point pivot if you are willing to fade the Ohtani chalk.
I hope this starts your lineup building in the right direction. Any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to hit me up in Discord or on Twitter @EdArias87
