MLB DFS Stacks, Pitching, & Hitting Targets | DraftKings & FanDuel MLB Picks 7/29

MLB DFS Strategy Study Hub Session 7/29

There are many things that you can do with our MLB DFS study hub. It’s loaded with information and has many different functions that you can mess around with. We have these study for MLB DFS, NBA DFS, NFL DFS, NASCAR DFS, NHL DFS, PGA DFS, and MMA DFS. Today, I wanted to break down different ways to use the Study Hub with examples of filters used. These are up to the user for what metrics and at what levels they’d like to use for each category. The world is your oyster!

I’ll be breaking down the main slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. It’s an five-game slate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and SuperDraft. The slate begins at 7:05 PM EST/4:05 PM PST on all sites.

Hot Hitting Teams

These are the last 14-days of team-by-team splits vs. starting pitcher-handedness. Basically, you can get a quick glimpse of which teams are HOT vs. handedness of pitcher based on splits alone.

The wOBA/ISO Hot Hitters Club

This is a list of hitters with a .400 wOBA / .300 ISO split with at least 20 Plate Appearances over the last 30-days of baseball.

MLB DFS LINEUP BUILDING BLOCKS

Now that the hard part has been cleared it’s time to dig a little deeper as we start building our stacks. I like to look at players that are playing really well the last seven days. I’m of the opinion that baseball players are streaky so I look at the most recent sample.

Hot Hitters Club MLB DFS Last 7 Days

These are the hottest hitters using the same parameters as the Hot Hitters Club over a seven day span. The only difference is I use nine plate appearances instead of 20 plate appearances.

The Baltimore Orioles (Cedric Mullins, Austin Hays, and Trey Mancini) are the only team with three players on the hot list.

The Boston Red Sox (Enrique Hernandez and Rafael Devers), Los Angeles Angels (Max Stassi and Jack Mayfield), Milwaukee Brewers (Rowdy Tellez and Tyrone Taylor), and Pittsburgh Pirates (Bryan Reynolds and Gregory Polanco) have two players on the seven day hot hitters club list.

I like to take a look at a team with three or more players on the list as a possible stack for the day. Our MLB DFS Study Hub for DraftKings projects the Orioles as the 3rd best stack on the day and the 4th highest owned. In our FanDuel Study Hub New York comes in at 3rd and 6th in those categories. The Orioles are a road underdog today (+140) at Detroit against the Tigers. I like using road teams for my main stacks because we get the guaranteed nine innings of plate appearances. I’ll be firing up plenty of Baltimore stacks today.

Here are a few things that catch my eye for today’s slate:

*The Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox game looks to have some weather concerns. They’ve been dealing with rain for the last couple of days in that region so a delayed start or postponed game is definitely in the mix for tonight.

*The San Diego Padres with Joe Musgrove (-262), and the Milwaukee Brewers with Freddy Peralta (-190) are the two biggest favorites on the slate.

*The Tigers, Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Padres are all projected for 5+ runs.

*The Brewers, Orioles, Athletics, and Angels are all projected for 5 runs if you round up their implied total.

*There are no teams on this slate with significant winning streaks..

*The Pittsburgh Pirates are the only team on the slate with a losing streak of 3+ games.
