MLB DFS Top Pitchers for Monday 4/3/23

mlb dfs top pitchers

Welcome to our article covering the MLB DFS top pitchers for Monday, April 3, 2023. Pitchers can make or break your DFS lineup, so it’s important to pick the right ones to maximize your chances of winning. In this guide, we’ll break down the best options for high-priced, mid-priced, and low-priced pitchers to help you make informed decisions

George Kirby – Seattle Mariners ($8,000 on DraftKings)

Kirby is a right-handed pitcher who will be facing the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels have struggled against right-handed pitchers this season, striking out at a high rate. Kirby has been excellent this season, posting a 3.60 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP. He also has good control, with just four walks in 15 innings pitched.

Kirby’s matchup against the Angels should provide him with an opportunity to generate a high number of strikeouts. He has the potential to be a strong value play on DraftKings, especially given his relatively low price tag.

Nestor Cortes – New York Yankees ($9,100 on DraftKings)

Cortes will be facing the Philadelphia Phillies, a team that has struggled offensively this season. The Phillies have a strikeout rate of 26.5%, which is the second-highest in the league. Cortes has been impressive in his limited innings this season, with a 2.44 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP.

Cortes also has excellent control, with a walk rate of just 6.2%. His ability to limit walks and generate strikeouts should make him a strong option on DraftKings, especially given the favorable matchup against the Phillies.

Drew Rasmussen – Tampa Bay Rays ($8,100 on DraftKings)

Rasmussen is a right-handed pitcher who will face the Washington Nationals, a team that has struggled with their offensive production so far this season. While Rasmussen doesn’t have a high strikeout rate, he has shown flashes of more upside in previous seasons.

The Nationals have one of the lowest team slugging percentages in the league, which could work in Rasmussen’s favor. He also has a good ground ball rate, which could help keep runners off base. Overall, while Rasmussen may not have the highest upside of all the mid-priced pitchers, his matchup and previous potential could make him a solid option for your DFS lineup.

Jon Gray – Texas Rangers ($9,200 on DraftKings)

Gray is a right-handed pitcher with a high strikeout rate against right-handed batters. He will face the Baltimore Orioles, a team that has struggled with their offense so far this season. While the Orioles have a few hitters who can be dangerous, their lineup as a whole is weaker than many other teams in the league.

Additionally, Gray has shown solid control so far this season, with a 6.7% walk rate. This combination of high strikeout rate and good control could make Gray a strong option for your DFS lineup, as he has the potential to provide a high return on investment.

Hunter Brown – Houston Astros ($7,400 on DraftKings)

Brown will take on the Detroit Tigers, who have one of the weakest offenses in the league this season. With a ground ball rate of 54.5% and a high strikeout rate of 36.4%, Brown could be an excellent option for your DFS lineup. He has only made one appearance in the majors, but he has shown some promise in the minors with a 3.64 ERA and 11.9 K/9 rate. He could be a steal for his price.

Zach Plesac – Cleveland Guardians ($7,900 on DraftKings)

Plesac will face the Oakland Athletics, a team with a low batting average against right-handed pitchers this season. Although he allows hits, Plesac has solid control with a low 5.6% walk rate. He has struggled with a high ERA this season, but he has shown flashes of his potential in previous seasons. With a low price tag, Plesac could provide good value for your DFS lineup.
