MLB DFS Top Plays for Friday 4/28/23

mlb dfs top plays

MLB DFS Top Plays for Friday 4/28/23 are here, and we have a slate filled with exciting matchups and plenty of top-tier talent to consider. With Coors Field taking center stage, it can be tempting to load up on hitters from the Diamondbacks and Rockies, but there are plenty of other options worth exploring. From high-priced stars to value picks, we’ve got you covered with our top plays for today’s games. So without further ado, let’s dive in and take a look at who you should be targeting in your lineups.

Coors Field will undoubtedly be the center of attention in tonight’s slate of games, with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies facing off in a game with the highest projected total. However, there are plenty of other teams with potential for big scores, making for an exciting slate of hitters.

Here are my top picks for high-priced, mid-priced, and value hitters:

High-Priced Hitters:

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) – Trout is one of the most consistent and high-upside hitters in the league. He’s facing off against Wade Miley, who’s a decent real-life pitcher, but tough to stack against. That’s why Trout is a good pick for a one-off play, or as part of a mini-stack.

Jose Ramirez (3B, CLE) – Ramirez is another high-upside hitter with a solid floor. He’s facing Nick Pivetta, who relies on strikeouts to do well, but the Cleveland Guardians are a team with plenty of contact bats. This makes Ramirez a good option to fill out your lineup.

Christian Walker (1B, ARI) – Walker is a solid pick against Kyle Freeland, who’s been struggling with control issues this season. Walker has been doing well against lefties, and with Freeland allowing a lot of hits to righties, he should be able to capitalize on the matchup.

Mid-Priced Hitters:

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (OF, ARI) – Gurriel is a low-strikeout batter facing a low-strikeout pitcher in Kyle Freeland. He’s been doing well against lefties, and with Freeland allowing a lot of hits to righties, he should be able to put up some big numbers.

Ketel Marte (2B/OF, ARI) – Marte is another Diamondbacks player with a good matchup against Freeland. He’s a consistent hitter with good upside, and his versatility in position eligibility makes him a great pick for any lineup.

Willy Adames (SS, MIL) – Adames is a good pick against Tyler Anderson, who’s been struggling with fly balls this season. Adames has a solid .190 ISO, making him a good bet for a home run or extra-base hit.

Value Hitters:

Emmanuel Rivera (3B, KC) – Rivera is a cheap option for a lineup fill-in, and has a good matchup against the struggling Tyler Anderson. He’s a risky play with pinch-hit potential, but at his price point, he’s worth the gamble.

William Contreras (C, ATL) – Contreras is another cheap option for a lineup fill-in, and has a good matchup against Luis Cessa. He doesn’t have much power, but he’s been hitting for average and could be a solid source of points.

Nathaniel Lowe (1B, TEX) – Lowe is a low-cost option with some power potential against Clarke Schmidt, who’s been struggling against lefties. Lowe has a .190 ISO and should be able to take advantage of the matchup.

While Coors Field is certainly a tempting option for stacking, there are plenty of other teams with potential for big scores tonight. Consider some of these high-priced, mid-priced, and value hitters for a well-rounded and potentially winning lineup.
