Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals (Patrick Corbin)
The Atlanta Braves are on fire, and they have a fantastic opportunity to continue their offensive onslaught as they face Patrick Corbin. Corbin’s 5.00 ERA suggests he’s been far from reliable, especially against right-handed hitters who boast a .306 batting average against him since 2021. Here are three key players to consider for your DFS lineups:

  • Ozzie Albies: While Albies is a switch hitter, he’s been exceptional against southpaws with a .913 OPS. He’s also been tearing it up on the road this year with an .896 OPS.
  • Austin Riley: Riley’s consistent power numbers make him a valuable asset with over 30 home runs and 90 RBIs for three consecutive seasons. He excels against lefties with a .923 OPS.
  • Marcell Ozuna: Ozuna’s 35 home runs have been somewhat under the radar, but his 1.028 OPS against southpaws is hard to ignore.

The Braves rank first in wRC+ (132) and ISO (.237) against left-handed pitchers in 2023. Additionally, they are fourth in wRC+ (125) and second in ISO (.232) over the last 30 days. Even on the road, Atlanta maintains its dominance, ranking first in wRC+ (121) and ISO (.220). Patrick Corbin’s recent struggles with a 6.51 ERA and 4.90 xFIP in his last five starts make the Braves an even more enticing stack.

Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox (Touki Toussaint)

The Boston Red Sox have a favorable matchup against Touki Toussaint. The righty has had a challenging season with a 5.12 SIERA, the highest of his career. This sets the stage for the Red Sox to capitalize on his struggles. Start your stack with Rafael Devers, who has 33 home runs, a .241 ISO, and a .367 wOBA. In the second half of the season, Devers has been on fire with a .400 wOBA and .953 OPS. He’s projected to be a top batter for the Red Sox in today’s matchup.

Consider including other options like Justin Turner, Adam Duvall, Alex Verdugo, and Masataka Yoshida to round out your DFS lineups.

San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Dakota Hudson)

Dakota Hudson’s road struggles continue, with a concerning 7.62 ERA this season. Left-handed hitters, in particular, have found success against him, hitting .291. Here are a couple of Padres to target:

  • Juan Soto: Soto has been as good as advertised, boasting a .909 OPS with 32 home runs, 101 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases. His .962 OPS against righties makes him a prime option.
  • Xander Bogaerts: Although Bogaerts is right-handed, he’s been effective against right-handed pitchers with an .801 OPS. He also performs better at home with an .856 OPS.

While Trent Grisham might not be a standout hitter, his left-handed status and 13 home runs with 14 stolen bases provide some DFS upside.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets (Tylor Megill)

Tylor Megill has struggled on the road throughout his career, sporting a 5.80 ERA and allowing 1.9 homers per nine innings. Lefties have also feasted on him with a .305 batting average. The Phillies, built to handle right-handed pitchers who struggle against lefties, present an appealing stacking opportunity.

  • Bryce Harper: Harper possesses a .900 OPS against righties and a staggering .597 slugging percentage at home.
  • Kyle Schwarber: Schwarber, with 45 home runs, is a power threat who has maintained a scorching 1.037 OPS over the last three weeks.
  • Bryson Stott: Stott may have slightly fewer power numbers, but his 15 homers, .282 average, and 29 stolen bases make him an intriguing option. He also performs better at home.
