Tampa Bay Rays
The undefeated Tampa Bay Rays start a series with the Toronto Blue Jays and face Jose Berrios.
The Tampa Bay Rays are a team that has a lot of potential in DFS lineups. They have a solid projected run total of 4.93 runs and relatively low ownership. The Rays have some high-upside options in their lineup that we can take advantage of today.
Brandon Lowe is projected to score 9.5 DraftKings points at a salary of $4,300, making him a good value option. He has a high ceiling and a low ownership percentage of only 7.91%. He has been hitting well so far this season, with a .337 wOBA and a .177 ISO.
Randy Arozarena is projected to score 9.36 DraftKings points at a salary of $6,000. He has a very low ownership percentage of only 1.98%, which makes him an intriguing tournament play. Arozarena has a very high ceiling and has been hitting well this season, with a .324 wOBA and a .152 ISO.
Wander Franco is projected to score 8.42 DraftKings points at a salary of $5,900. He has a moderate ownership percentage of 6.29%, but he has a lot of upside. Franco is a highly touted prospect who has the potential to break out at any time. He has a .346 wOBA and a .176 ISO so far this season.
While the top three players in the Rays lineup are the most appealing for a stack, there are other options worth considering as well. Yandy Diaz, Harold Ramirez, and Luke Raley are all projected to have a high DK rating, meaning they have a good chance to provide value at their salary. Christian Bethancourt and Manuel Margot are also intriguing options for tournaments with low ownership percentages.
Milwaukee Brewers
the Milwaukee Brewers are an interesting team to consider stacking against Michael Wacha of the San Diego Padres. While they may not have the highest projected run total, their hitters offer good value with solid DK ratings, and some of their players have been performing well early in the season.
Willy Adames stands out as a top option on the team, with a projection of 7.61 and a DK rating of 48.8. He has been hitting well to start the season, with a .333 wOBA and a .213 ISO. Christian Yelich is also worth considering, as he has a DK rating of 71.09 and is priced at $4,500. Yelich is a proven star who has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, but he has been hitting well early in 2023 with a .300 wOBA and a .150 ISO.
Rowdy Tellez and Garrett Mitchell are two lower-priced options who offer value as well. Tellez has a DK rating of 73.85 and is priced at $3,000, while Mitchell has a DK rating of 90.76 and is priced at just $2,700. Both players have been hitting well in limited playing time, with Tellez boasting a .301 wOBA and a .216 ISO and Mitchell having a .312 wOBA and a .158 ISO.
William Contreras and Jesse Winker are two other options to consider for a Brewers stack. Contreras has a DK rating of 85.35 and is priced at $3,800, while Winker has a DK rating of 66.83 and is priced at $3,300. Contreras has a .333 wOBA and a .206 ISO so far in the season, while Winker has a .282 wOBA and a .129 ISO.
Joey Wiemer, Brian Anderson, and Brice Turang are lower-priced options who could provide value if they have a good game. Wiemer has a DK rating of 71.96 and is priced at $2,200, Anderson has a DK rating of 41.39 and is priced at $3,000, and Turang has a DK rating of 39.19 and is priced at $2,300. Wiemer has not yet played in the majors, while Anderson has a .306 wOBA and a .150 ISO and Turang has a .264 wOBA and a .157 ISO.
Cleveland Guardians
The Cleveland Guardians present a number of intriguing stacking options against Trevor Williams of the Washington Nationals. Led by Jose Ramirez, who boasts a DK Proj of 7.44, the Guardians have a projected team total of 4.87.
Ramirez is the clear star of the Guardians’ lineup, and his DK Salary of $5,700 reflects that. However, he’s worth paying up for given his excellent plate discipline (6.69 K%) and his elite wOBA of 0.380. Ramirez is projected to be owned by just 18.20% of the field, making him an excellent option in tournaments.
Another top stacking option is Steven Kwan, who boasts a DK Proj of 6.68 and a DK Value of 1.55. Kwan is projected to be owned by just 3.78% of the field, making him an excellent low-owned tournament option. He has a solid wOBA of 0.367 and an ISO of 0.159, suggesting he has some pop in his bat.
Andres Gimenez and Josh Naylor are also intriguing stacking options for the Guardians. Both players have DK Proj scores above 6.0 and are projected to be owned by less than 12% of the field. Gimenez has a solid wOBA of 0.367 and an ISO of 0.185, while Naylor has an even better ISO of 0.217.
If you’re looking for a value play, Will Brennan is an excellent option. He has a DK Value of 2.25 and is projected to be owned by just 1.70% of the field. Brennan has an excellent wOBA of 0.400 and an ISO of 0.181, suggesting he has some pop in his bat despite his low DK Salary of $2,500.
Amed Rosario, Josh Bell, Mike Zunino, and Myles Straw are all decent options, but they don’t offer the same upside as Ramirez, Kwan, Gimenez, Naylor, and Brennan. Rosario has a solid wOBA of 0.288 and an ISO of 0.122, but his high DK Salary of $4,400 makes him a less appealing option. Bell has a lower DK Salary of $3,600 but has a lower DK Proj of 5.18 and a lower wOBA of 0.358. Zunino and Straw are both projected to be owned by less than 1% of the field, but their low DK Proj scores suggest they have limited upside.
Los Angeles Angels
With a projected run total of 4.75 and a team ownership percentage of 100%, the Angels are a popular stack for good reason. Let’s take a closer look at some of the key players to consider when building your DFS lineup against Tanner Houck.
Mike Trout is always a strong play, and today is no exception. While he’s expensive at $5,700 on DraftKings, he’s projected for 6.34 points and has a solid chance to outperform that projection. He also has a high ownership percentage at 27.69%, so you’ll need to differentiate your lineup elsewhere if you’re going to include Trout.
Shohei Ohtani is another obvious choice for a stack. He’s projected for 6.29 points and has a high ownership percentage at 39.53%. Ohtani’s dual role as a pitcher and hitter makes him a unique and valuable player, and he has the potential to put up big numbers on any given night.
Taylor Ward is a less expensive option at $5,100 on DraftKings, and he’s projected for 5.83 points. With a low ownership percentage of 9.38%, Ward could be a great way to differentiate your lineup and save some salary.
Hunter Renfroe is even less expensive at $4,900 on DraftKings, but he’s projected for just 5.08 points. He has a very low ownership percentage at just 4.19%, so he could be a great contrarian play if you’re looking to differentiate your lineup.
Anthony Rendon is a solid option at $4,100 on DraftKings, but he’s projected for just 4.77 points. He has a low ownership percentage of 5.37%, so he could be a way to differentiate your lineup while still getting exposure to the Angels’ offense.
Gio Urshela, Luis Rengifo, and Logan O’Hoppe are other options to stack tonight that should come at lower ownership to help you climb the leaderboards tonight!
