MLB DFS Top Stacks for Friday 7-28-23

mlb dfs top stacks

Welcome to our MLB DFS Top Stacks article for Friday 7-28-23. When it comes to MLB DFS, finding the right stacks can make all the difference. In this article, we’ll dive into the top stacking options for Friday, July 28, 2023. Whether you’re a seasoned fantasy baseball player or a newcomer looking for an edge, these carefully selected stacks will boost your chances of success. Let’s explore the most promising teams and players for your DFS lineup.

Atlanta Braves

The Braves’ offense is a force to be reckoned with, making them a prime stacking choice for tonight’s game. Their impressive statistics against right-handed pitchers in 2023 indicate their dominance in this matchup. Ranked fourth in wRC+ (115) and second in ISO (.202), the Braves have consistently shown their hitting prowess. Additionally, their outstanding performance in the previous 30 days, with a seventh-ranked wRC+ (115) and first-ranked ISO (.247), adds to their allure.

Facing Adrian Houser, whose 3.86 ERA doesn’t inspire confidence, the Braves have a favorable matchup. Although his ERA seems decent, his underlying numbers (4.37 xERA and 4.50 xFIP) suggest he might be due for regression. Stacking the Braves could lead to significant fantasy points, given their explosive offense and Houser’s potential struggles.

Minnesota Twins

The Twins also boast a solid offense, making them another intriguing stacking option. Ranked seventh in wRC+ (109) against righties this season, and fifth in wRC+ (117) with a remarkable ISO (.201) in the last 30 days, the Twins have the firepower to deliver in DFS contests.

Though their performance on the road has been somewhat inconsistent, the betting information favors their offensive potential. Moreover, playing at Kauffman Stadium, where park factors work in their favor, could give them an edge.

Seattle Mariners

The Mariners come into the game with impressive momentum, ranking 10th in wRC+ (111) in the previous 30 days. Despite not being the best against lefties, Seattle’s lineup has several players who excel against southpaws, boasting at least a 110 wRC+ since 2021.

Tommy Henry, the opposing pitcher, hasn’t been at his best lately, as evident from his 5.76 xFIP over his last four starts. Given Arizona’s relievers’ high ERA (4.57), the Mariners’ batters have an opportunity to capitalize on their form and rack up valuable fantasy points.

LA Dodgers

When facing left-handed pitchers, stacking the Dodgers’ trio of Betts, Smith, and Martinez has proven to be a wise choice. Williamson’s shaky performance at Triple-A doesn’t bode well for his MLB starts, making him susceptible to the Dodgers’ hard-hitting stars.

Betts, known for targeting pitcher weaknesses, possesses a .380 OBP and a .965 OPS against lefties since 2021. Smith’s impressive slash line of .286/.392/.486, along with a .949 OPS at home, makes him a valuable asset. Meanwhile, Martinez’s resurgence with the Dodgers, evidenced by a .567 slugging percentage and 25 home runs in 82 games, positions him as a formidable force at the plate.

Rays at Astros

The struggling Javier offers an enticing stacking opportunity for the Rays’ hitters. Over the past two months, his performance has been lackluster, with a 7.52 ERA and a low 14.6 percent strikeout rate. While a rebound might be possible, his recent game logs don’t inspire confidence.

Raley stands out among the Rays’ batters, boasting a team-leading .392 wOBA, 158 wRC+, and .274 ISO. Lowe, another valuable left-handed bat, could take advantage of Javier’s struggles against opposite-handed batters. With Javier’s recent 9.70 ERA over five starts, the Rays have a favorable chance to capitalize on the matchup.

Phillies at Pirates

Keller’s regression has been evident, as he’s allowed a significant number of runs and hits in his recent outings. Stacking the Phillies against him could prove fruitful, especially considering their success against Keller in past matchups. The collective 14-for-22 (.636) performance with a homer, six doubles, and six RBI showcases the potential of this stack.

Realmuto, Harper, and Schwarber are left-handed hitters who have faced Keller well and could exploit his vulnerabilities. Harper’s power may have diminished somewhat due to his Tommy John recovery, but his .296 average and .386 OBP are still impressive. Schwarber, with his 26 homers, has immense power as a lefty. Meanwhile, Marsh’s solid slash line of .280/.359/.454, coupled with his ability to perform well against right-handed pitchers, further adds to the Phillies’ stacking potential.
