mlb dfs top stacks

Welcome to today’s MLB DFS Top Stacks for Monday, May 1st, 2023. In today’s analysis, we’ll take a closer look at some of the top stacks that offer great potential for big fantasy point outputs. We’ll examine each team’s lineup, opposing pitcher, and identify key matchups to give you the insights you need to make the most informed decisions for your lineups.

Padres vs Luke Weaver

As the MLB DFS slate heats up, the San Diego Padres appear to be a top stack to target for Monday’s games. With their explosive offensive power and favorable matchup against Luke Weaver, the Padres have the potential to rack up plenty of points and lead fantasy owners to victory.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is the star player to target within the Padres’ lineup, as he boasts an impressive .259 ISO and .307 xwOBA against right-handed pitchers. Additionally, Juan Soto and Manny Machado are strong choices to consider, as they have solid power and consistency at the plate.

For value plays, Matt Carpenter could be a sneaky pick, with a .254 xHR and .366 xwOBA against right-handed pitchers. Ha-Seong Kim and Trent Grisham are also intriguing low-owned options that could potentially pay off in tournament play.

While Weaver has decent numbers against right-handed batters, he has struggled against lefties, which bodes well for the Padres’ left-handed hitters such as Jake Cronenworth and Trent Grisham.

The San Diego Padres are a top stack to target for Monday’s MLB DFS slate. With a potent offense and favorable matchup against Luke Weaver, DFS players should look to load up on the Padres’ top hitters, while also considering some value plays to differentiate their lineups in tournament play.

Reds vs Blake Snell

The Cincinnati Reds could be a stack worth considering against the San Diego Padres and their starting pitcher, Blake Snell. While Snell does have some impressive numbers, his high 10% walk rate against both left and right-handed hitters makes him a bit of a risky play, which could make the Reds an attractive stack option for fantasy owners.

The Reds have several right-handed hitters in their lineup who could potentially do some damage against Snell. Jonathan India remains a top-tier option, boasting a .344 xwOBA against left-handed pitchers. Spencer Steer and Tyler Stephenson are also strong options, with solid power numbers and consistency at the plate.

If you’re looking for some value plays, Stuart Fairchild and Curt Casali could be worth considering. Both have shown the ability to hit for power against left-handed pitchers, making them sneaky picks for fantasy owners looking to differentiate their lineups.

While Snell does have the potential to dominate, his high walk rate against both left and right-handed hitters could come back to bite him. This could open the door for the Reds’ right-handed hitters to take advantage and put up some big numbers, making them a solid stack option to consider.

In conclusion, the Cincinnati Reds could be a stack worth targeting against Blake Snell and the San Diego Padres in the upcoming MLB DFS slate. With several right-handed hitters in their lineup and Snell’s high walk rate, the Reds stack has the upside to produce tournament winning scores on this small slate.

Yankees vs Cal Quantril

The New York Yankees could be worth considering against the Cleveland Guardians and their starting pitcher, Cal Quantrill. While Quantrill has shown some impressive numbers against left-handed hitters, his relatively low strikeout rate against right-handed batters could make the Yankees’ right-handed hitters an intriguing stack option.

Aaron Judge is an obvious top-tier option, with impressive power numbers and a .476 xwOBA against right-handed pitchers. Anthony Rizzo and Gleyber Torres are also strong options, with solid power numbers and consistent production at the plate.

If you’re looking for some value plays, Willie Calhoun and Jose Trevino could be worth considering. While they may not have the same power numbers as some of the other options, both players have shown the ability to get on base and put up solid production against right-handed pitchers.

The New York Yankees could be an intriguing stack option against Cal Quantrill and the Cleveland Guardians in the upcoming MLB DFS slate. With several right-handed hitters in their lineup the Yankees present an opportunity for DFS players to potentially make a splash in tournament play.

Blue Jays vs Corey Kluber

The Blue Jays have been a hot team in the American League this season, with a potent lineup that includes several players who are capable of putting up big numbers. George Springer has been a force at the top of the lineup, with a .339 xwOBA and a .187 ISO against right-handed pitchers. Bo Bichette has been equally impressive, boasting a .334 xwOBA and a .175 ISO against righties.

And then, of course, there’s Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who has emerged as one of the best hitters in the game this season. He’s hitting .331 with a .410 xwOBA and a .220 ISO against right-handed pitchers, making him a must-have option for any stack.

If you’re looking for some lower-owned options to differentiate your lineup in tournaments, Daulton Varsho and Matt Chapman could be worth considering. Varsho has been hitting .228 with a .318 xwOBA and a 24.1% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching, while Chapman has a .220 ISO against righties and a .362 xwOBA. Both players have the potential to put up big numbers and could be lower-owned options to differentiate your lineup in tournaments.

Corey Kluber has been just ok this season, boasting a 4.64 ERA and a 20% strikeout rate, but, he’s no longer an overpowering pitcher and has shown some vulnerability against right-handed hitters. His relatively low strikeout rate against righties (19.6%) could be a potential weakness that the Blue Jays’ right-handed hitters could take advantage of in this matchup today.

The Toronto Blue Jays present a strong stack option against Corey Kluber and the Boston Red Sox in the upcoming slate. The Blue Jays are a formidable team to stack against any right-handed pitcher. With the likes of George Springer, Bo Bichette, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in their lineup, they have the firepower to produce significant fantasy points and make any DFS player a winner in tournaments. If you’re looking for a stack with a high ceiling and the potential to make a splash in tournament play, the Blue Jays’ right-handed hitters are a solid option today.
