MLB GPP Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel 9-19

I’m going to highlight plays that have tournament winning upside. Let’s get into it.
Starting Pitchers
Corbin Burnes- At $8,000 on DraftKings and $10,300 on FanDuel, Burnes is at varying price points for a matchup against Kansas City. Burnes has broken out in 2020 posting a K/9 of 13.32 and an xFIP of 3.11. Kansas City strikes out at a 24% clip which makes the spot even better for Burnes. I like Burnes on both sites but, more on DraftKings. I will have plenty of shares on Burnes in tournaments.
Trevor Bauer- At $10,800 on DraftKings and $11,300 on FanDuel, Bauer is priced up for a matchup against the White Sox. Bauer is in the Cy Young conversation posting a K/9 of 12.88 and an xFIP of 3.11. The White Sox have been an elite offense in 2020 but, they are striking out at a 24.4% clip. I expect this to be a volatile play with an incredibly high ceiling. I’ll have Bauer in tournaments.
Lance Lynn- At $9,500 on DraftKings and $9,900 on FanDuel, Lynn is priced up for a matchup against the Angels. Lynn has had an up and down season posting a K/9 of 9.97 and an xFIP of 4.22. The Angels are top 10 in wRC+ but, Lynn just dominated their lineup in their last meeting. I’m expecting a quality start from Lynn on today’s slate.

Los Angeles Dodgers- The Dodgers have a matchup against Chi Chi Gonzalez with an implied run total of 7.36. The Dodgers have an extremely high total and are at Coors Field. I’ll lean on a Dodgers offense that has posted a wRC+ of 120 against a pitcher that is a borderline rotation guy at best. Focus on Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, and Corey Seager.
New York Yankees- The Yankees have a matchup against Chris Mazza with an implied run total of 5.8. Mazza has posted a K/9 of 9.43 and an xFIP of 4.52 in a limited 2020 sample. I don’t anticipate a red hot Yankees offense struggling in this spot. Focus on Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit, and Gleyber Torres.
Atlanta Braves- The Braves have a matchup against David Peterson with an implied run total of 4.91. Peterson has struggled in 2020 posting a K/9 of 6.38 and an xFIP of 5.51. The Braves have been elite on offense posting a wRC+ of 120 and an ISO of .218. I expect the Braves to score early and often in this spot. Focus on Ronald Acuna Jr., Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna, and Adam Duvall.
