What’s up, fam? Since I will be away for a couple of days I figured it would be a nice idea to write out an article like the old days.
Tonight, I am going to just ignore all the noise and do exactly what I want regardless of findings over the last week. I am also going all-in on a few teams, pitchers, and players like I used to last summer when I was winning a tournament weekly in the minimax on DK and FD. Ahh, those were the days…
I digress. Today, I am going all-in on the Giants offense and trotting out naked 5 man stacks because their price tags are SO cheap on DraftKings that with the leftover money, my 3 hitters are insane. The lineups are filled out with Yelich, Muncy, Trout, and the like. Basically, if the Giants go buck wild or even just score 7-8 runs, I have a very high floor and ceiling because of the absolute monsters that fill out my lineup.
Will it work? I have no clue. Hindsight is 20/20 and I guess we will find out.
I am also locking in two pitchers in the same games due to their form. Both Max Fried and Aaron Nola look so darn good right now. I am simply going to lock them both in, hope one of them gets the win bonus and the score is like 2-1 or something and they both rack up a bunch of strikeouts.
On FanDuel, I’ll be creating a SE optimal lineup by crunching a naked 4 man stack with the Giants hitters and locking in Aaron Nola as my pitcher. This jammed in Santander and a couple of Indians in the middle infield which is what I want anyway. Worked out in my favor.
It’s my strategy tonight. We shall see how it goes. I just want people to be confident. If it doesn’t work, oh well. I am happy that I stuck with my gut and went about my strategy without worrying about “missing out”.
Take ownership of your approach, your strategy, and the results. Upload our projections or ratings, and make the optimizer work FOR you.
If rolling out SE, be confident in your hand-building (if not making an optimal). If you want to roll out a dang 4-3 on FD or a 5-2 on DK, freaking do it. Whatever helps you live with the results either way I support.
Try not to listen to all coaches simultaneously, or all of the advice, or worry about splits but also ratings and also projections. Pick something, follow it, and build like a maniac.
But do it confidently. MLB is volatile and this season more than ever we are seeing 2-2’s and 3-2’s and all sorts of unconventional stacks rip down tournaments. Don’t feel like you can’t do 5-2’s or 4-3’s anymore, but also don’t feel like you have to do unconventional stacks either.
You do what you want to do based on each individual slate because that is exactly what it is. Trends in DFS only go so far. Each slate is unique. No previous slates guarantee victory by following the trend.
Good luck this weekend and I will see you all Monday at 12:30 p.m. EST on the Twitch stream!
