MLB Top Stacks (Quick Overview)

Happy Sunday everyone, today is September 4th and we have a nice 10 game slate to attack. Currently the Mets rank as our #1 stacks on this early run of the MLB Study Hub. Their matchup vs Eric Fedde is a juicy one, but, there are other solid matchups on this slate as well so I’ll do my best to highly a few other teams we can target today

White Sox vs Twins RHP Dylan Bundy

Dylan Bundy has been a below average starting pitcher for a few years now and this year has been much of the same. Entering tonight’s game vs the White Sox he has a 5.14 xfip and a 16.7% strikeout rate. Against right handed hitters he has allowed a 181 iso 47% fly ball rate and 43% hard contact rate.

Here are the White Sox right handed hitters I want to target today, and their xwoba / iso / hard contact % vs right handed pitching below

Andrew Vaughn – 389 / 191 / 40%
Jose Abreu – 458 / 134 / 42%
Eloy Jimenez – 575 / 193 / 48%

Gavin Sheets bats left handed, but, I want to include him here as well. Over the last 30 days he’s been on fire vs right handed pitching, with a 415 woba 250 iso and 41% hard contact rate

Orioles vs Athletics RHP Adrian Martinez

Adrian Martinez hasn’t pitched this much this season, but the limited time he has pitched he hasn’t been very good. So far he has struggled more vs right handed hitters compared to left handed hitters, but, I think we can target hitters from both sides of the plate against him in this matchup

Orioles targets in this matchup today and their 2022 statistics woba / iso / hard contact % vs right handed pitching

Cedric Mullins – 349 / 171 / 39%
Anthony Sandanter – 325 / 194 / 38%
Gunner Henderson – 378 / 250 / 30%

Adley Rutschman has been one of the best hitting catchers in all of baseball this season and if you look at his numbers against right handed pitching you can see he’s in a good spot here today. This season Rutschman has a 368 woba 225 iso 38% hard contact rate 12% walk rate and only a 15% strikeout rate vs right handed pitching. He’ll be the anchor on most of my Orioles stacks today.

Are you ready to dominate?

The MLB Study Hub is my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily.

Within the Study Hub you will see today’s MLB Projections for every player along with advanced MLB Statistics like wOBA and ISO vs the Handedness of today’s starting pitcher.

Ownership Projections are included, along with a letter grade ranking system for every player on the slate.

Rangers vs Red Sox RHP Josh Winckowski

Josh Winckowski has really struggled this year and we should be able to attack him on this slate today. This season he has a 5.33 xfip and a 13.4% strikeout rate. He’s equally bad vs hitters from both sides of the plate, allowing a 350/183 woba/iso to righties, and a 369/226 woba/iso vs lefties

Rangers hitting targets today along with woba/iso/hh% numbers since 2021 vs right handed hitters

Marcus Semien – 342 / 236 / 40%
Nathaniel Lowe – 357 / 177 / 45%

Corey Seager was an All Star this year and he’s the key piece we’ll want in our Rangers stacks today. Since 2021 he has a 450 xwoba 210 iso and 37% hard contact rate against right handed pitching. I think he takes Winckowski and his 226 iso vs left handed hitters, deep this afternoon

Rankings Today

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’ll be using the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions

Something I like to do with this, is to give these players a THUMBS UP or 2, or 3, in Fantasy Cruncher so I can get more exposure to them throughout my lineups
