MLB Top Stacks (Quick Overview)

Happy Humpday everyone. Tonight we have a nice 9 game main slate to dig into. There are a two 3 game early slates if you want to dig into those while your at work (not working) but I’ll be focusing on the 9 game main slate below

Currently we see the White Sox as the #1 ranked stack. This will most likely change as lineups get confirmed later in the day.

Braves vs Rockies RHP Ryan Feltner

Ryan Feltner enters today’s game with a 4.93 xfip and only an 18.8% strikeout rate. Against right handed hitters he has allowed a 356 woba 222 iso and 43% hard contact rate. Against left handed hitters he has allowed a 329 woba 205 iso 42% fly ball rate and 47% hard contact rate. The should be plenty of Braves we can target in this matchup today.

The 2,3,4 hitters in this lineup are in a great spot today vs Feltner. Michael Harris II  has smashed right handed pitching all season. So far he has a 381 woba 260 iso and 48% hard contact rate against righties. Matt Olson has faired well also, with a 352 woba 269 iso and 46% hard contact rate. Austin Riley is on par with the other two, slashing a 343 woba 225 iso and 45% hard contact rate against righties this season

Other Braves you can surley target in today’s matchup

Dansby Swanson – 328 / 159 / 46%
Travis d’Arnaud – 320 / 197 / 36%
William Contreras – 341 / 264 / 35%

Mariners vs Tigers LHP Tyler Alexander

Tigers left hander Tyler Alexander enters today’s game with a 5.65 xfip and just a 12.3% strikeout rate this season. He has been ok against left handed hitters, only allowing a 291 woba and 125 iso, however, against right handed hitters he’s been having trouble. So far he has allowed a 338 woba 193 iso 42% fly ball rate 36% hard contact rate and has only managed a 10.4% strikeout rate vs right handed hitters this season

Eugenio Suarez is my favorite Mariners bat today vs Alexander. This season, Suarez has a 421 xwoba 229 iso and 49% hard contact rate against lefties. Over the last 30 days, he has a 447 xwoba 345 iso and 56% hard contact rate against lefties. Alexander is catching him a the wrong time as Suarez is seeing lefties very well right now.

Julio Rodriguez burst onto the scene during the Home Run Derby when he put on an amazing power display. This season he’s been crushing lefties with a 541 xwoba 180 iso and 37% hard contact rate

Mitch Haniger came off the DL recently and he’s been hot ever since. In the last 30 days he has a 498 xwoba 143 iso and 70% hard contact rate against left handed pitching

If you need a min priced punt play, check out Sam Haggerty. He has a 939 (yes 939) xwoba 304 iso and 39% hard contact rate vs lefties over the last 30 days

Are you ready to dominate?

White Sox vs Royals LHP Kris Bubic

Kris Bubic is a left handed pitcher for the Royals and he’s got a touch matchup vs the White Sox today. This season he has a 5.10 xfip with an 18.2% strikeout rate. He has really struggled against left handed hitters, allowing a 451 woba 279 iso and a 52% hard contact rate. The White Sox don’t really have any left handed hitters that hit left handed pitching well, but, they have plenty of right handed hitters that have always crushed left handed pitching

One of those right handed hitters is AJ Pollock, who, this season has a 788 xwoba (yes 788) a 315 iso and a 41% hard contact rate vs lefties.

Jose Abreu has always been a great hitter vs left handed pitichig, and this season has been no different. This season he has a 412 xwoba 202 iso and 46% hard contact rate this season vs left handed pitching.

Andrew Vaughn is another hitter you can target here. Since 2021 he has a 457 xwoba 187 iso and 42% hard contact rate vs left handed pitching.

Rankings Today

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’ll be using the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions

Something I like to do with this, is to give these players a THUMBS UP or 2, or 3, in Fantasy Cruncher so I can get more exposure to them throughout my lineups
