I’m going to highlight plays that have tournament winning upside. We have the annual two-game slate to cap off week 1. Let’s get into it.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants O/U 45 PIT -6

Pittsburgh Steelers

I’m a big fan of all facets of Pittsburgh’s offense in this spot. They are going to score points and Roethlisberger has a plethora of weapons at his disposal. The Giants struggled to defend the pass last year ranking 30th in pass defense efficiency in 2019. I’ll be stacking Ben Roethlisberger with  JuJu Smith Schuster, Eric Ebron, and Diontae Johnson. I expect this Giants defense to get exposed through the air. I’ll have shares of James Conner as well. We’ve seen Conner get up to 25 carries in a positive game script and he should see the goal line touches. I’ll have shares of the Steelers’ offense in tournaments.

New York Giants

The Giants are going up against a Steelers’ defense that top 5 against both the run and the pass in 2019. Being 6 point underdogs, I’ll lean more towards the passing game than the running game in this spot. I’ll be stacking Daniel Jones with Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and Darius Slayton. I’m expecting the Giants to get down a couple of scores early which will cause Daniel Jones to throw upwards of 30 passes in this spot. Jones offers rushing upside as well. He’s not an elite running quarterback but, he could get a touchdown on the ground. If you think the Giants keep this game close or take control early, Saquon Barkley is a great play. I’d expect upwards of 20 touches in that scenario.

Tennessee Titans @ Denver Broncos O/U 41 TEN -3

Tennessee Titans

The Titans are going up against a Broncos’ defense that was ranked 14 against the pass and 15th against the run in terms of efficiency in 2019. I’m interested in both the passing and running game of the Titans. Down the stretch last season, Derrick Henry was seeing an average of 20-23 carries per game. I expect this game to stay close causing Henry to get his normal workload in this spot. For the passing game, I am going to focus on the Ryan Tannehill to A.J. Brown connection. Brown saw upwards of 7 targets regularly down the stretch last season and has the high ceiling you want in tournaments. If you’re looking for a tight end, toss in Jonnu Smith.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are going up against a Titans’ defense that ranked 11th against the run and 22nd against the pass in terms of efficiency in 2019. I’m going to focus more on the passing game than the running game in this spot. Last season, Drew Lock threw at least 28 passes in every game he started. I expect no different in this spot. I’ll be stacking Drew Lock with Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and Noah Fant. If you think Denver takes a commanding lead early, Melvin Gordon becomes a great play.
