NBA DFS Playoff Preview Cavs vs Knicks Game 4
The New York Knicks will host the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. As it stands, the Knicks currently hold a 2-1 series lead, and they will be looking to maintain their home-court advantage. However, the Cavs won’t go down without a fight, as they look to even up the series.
The first three games of the series have been characterized by low-scoring affairs, with neither team managing to score more than 110 points. In Game 3, the Knicks held the Cavs to just 79 points, while they scored 99 themselves. The Knicks have been better defensively, which has left the Cavs struggling to find answers outside of Donovan Mitchell, who has been doing everything he can to turn things around.
Despite the odds, the Cavs will be ready to make things difficult for the Knicks, and they will be relying on their 20-21 record on the road during the regular season. Meanwhile, the Knicks will be hoping to continue their impressive home form, having gone 23-18 at Madison Square Garden during the regular season.
In Game 3, Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with an impressive performance, scoring 21 points, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 38 minutes of play. RJ Barrett followed up with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Josh Hart added 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals. The Knicks shot 47 percent from the field, including 10-of-33 from deep.
Donovan Mitchell was the top performer for the Cavs in Game 3, with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 38 minutes of play. Caris LeVert followed up with 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Evan Mobley totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, and a block. The Cavs shot 38.8 percent from the field, including 7-of-33 from long range.
Looking ahead to Game 4, the Knicks have listed Quentin Grimes as questionable with a shoulder injury, while Jericho Sims is out. The Cavaliers have listed Dylan Windler as out with a foot injury. As the series heats up, both teams will be looking to bring their A-game to the court, and it promises to be an exciting matchup for NBA fans.
High-Priced Players:
Donovan Mitchell – Cleveland Cavaliers – PG/SG – $9200: Mitchell has been the most consistent player for the Cavs in this series, averaging 45.1 FPs per game with a usage rate of 31.5. He is the highest-priced player in the game, but his production justifies his salary.
Julius Randle – New York Knicks – PF/C – $7700: Randle has had an up-and-down series, but he remains a key player for the Knicks. He is averaging 29.4 FPs per game with a usage rate of 45.4. If he has a big game, he could be a difference-maker in NBA DFS lineups.
Jalen Brunson – New York Knicks – PG – $7600: Brunson had an excellent Game 3, leading the Knicks with 21 points, six assists, and two steals. He is averaging 39.9 FPs per game with a usage rate of 27.4, making him a solid high-priced option for NBA DFS lineups.
Value Plays:
Caris LeVert – Cleveland Cavaliers – SG – $5100: LeVert had a solid Game 3, putting up 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. He is averaging 25.3 FPs per game with a usage rate of 18.7, making him a good value play for NBA DFS lineups.
Josh Hart – New York Knicks – SG/SF – $5400: Hart is averaging 27.8 FPs per game with a usage rate of 12.7. He had 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals in Game 3, and he could be a solid value play for NBA DFS lineups.
Quentin Grimes – New York Knicks – SG/SF – $3900: Grimes is a risky play due to his shoulder injury, but if he plays, he could be a great value play. He is averaging 14.4 FPs per game with a usage rate of 10.61, and he could be a sneaky option for NBA DFS lineups if he is able to take the court.
With the series on the line, both teams will be fighting tooth and nail to come out on top.
