Notable Vegas Totals

Washington Wizards @ Brooklyn Nets O/U 241

The Nets enter Sunday’s game as a seven point favorite over the visiting Wizards. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Bradley Beal, and Russell Westbrook are all slotted to play today. I’m going to play the superstars and also look for value in a game with such a high implied total. Jarrett Allen is 5.6k on both Draftkings and FanDuel. Joe Harris is 4.5k on FD so I prefer him there instead of DK where he costs 5.7k.

Portland Trailblazers @ Golden State Warriors O/U 235

The last game on the slate features the second highest implied total for the day when Portland takes on Golden St. The Warriors have looked terrible with the rosters they’ve run out to start the season. They’ll be at full strength with Draymond Green back in the lineup and the rookie James Wiseman expected to play. I have to like Damian Lillard tonight (I think it’s a law), and Steph Curry becomes more viable as he’s surrounded with more talent. The aforementioned Wiseman is a nice play on DK and FD where costs 5.2k and 5.4k respectively.

Pace Up Spots

Portland Trailblazers @ Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are currently tied for 1st with the Chicago Bulls with the NBA’s highest pace rating at 110.6. The Blazers have a 102.9 rating for a 7.7 difference. If this is going to be an uptempo game then I want guys that handle the ball a lot like Damian Lillard, Steph Curry, and CJ McCollum.

Dallas Mavericks @ Chicago Bulls

As I mentioned above the Bulls are tied for 1st in the league in pace rating. The Mavericks are currently tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for 27th in the league. There’s a pace rating difference of 9.9 in this game. Luka Doncic runs the show for the Mavericks so he’s always a solid play. He’ll run you 10k on Draftkings and 11.3k on FanDuel. Chicago’s top option is Zach Lavine who’s a more affordable 7.3k on DK and 7.7k on FD. Coby White (6.2k DK and 6.1k FD), and Josh Richardson (5k DK and 4.8k FD) are also nice choices in this spot.

Injury News

There’s a lot of injury news for a seven-game slate. I won’t list everyone that’s out. This should still give you a good idea of who will be available and who won’t be. Questionable usually means they’ll play but this is NBA DFS. Things can change five seconds before lock so make sure to tap in to the news and our NBA Study Hub updates.

Probable: De’Anthony Melton, Royce O’Neal, Maxi Kleber, Gary Trent Jr., and James Wiseman.

Questionable: LeBron James, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Derrick Favors, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Luka Doncic.

Out: Alex Caruso, Justise Winslow, Michael Porter Jr., Josh Okogie, Karl-Anthony Towns, Derrick White, Marcus Morris, Lauri Markkanen, Tomas Satoransky, and Rodney Hood.

Early Targets

Bradley Beal – In a game with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Russell Westbrook I’m looking for Beal to have a good night. Beal does cost $200 more than Irving on FanDuel so I like him a bit more for Draftkings today.

Damian Lillard – Dame has Late Hammer potential tonight in the last game of the slate. In Lillard I get a player that can go nuclear on any given night playing against a team that’s looked terrible to start the season. I looked at my watch this morning and it said “Dame Time” so I’m taking that as a sign.

Naz Reid – Karl-Anthony Towns continues to be sidelined and Reid has played ok in his absence. He cost $600 less on FanDuel today so I prefer him there, but I’ll be using him on both sites.

These are my EARLY targets. If you want targets from our NBA coaches closer to lock, check out NBA Building Blocks!
