NBA DFS Top Plays for Monday 3/6/23

NBA DFS Top Plays

As we head into another week of NBA action, it’s time to start planning for Monday’s DFS slate. With a number of teams taking the court on March 6th, there are plenty of NBA DFS top plays to consider for your lineups. From sharpshooters to reliable big men, and affordable players with high upside, we’ve got you covered with our top picks for Monday’s slate. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at the NBA DFS top plays for March 6th, 2023.

Damian Lillard DK $11,600 – FD $10,800

Damian Lillard (PG – POR) is our top pick for Monday’s DFS slate, and for good reason. Despite the Trail Blazers playing on a back-to-back, we can’t ignore Lillard’s incredible recent form. He’s been on another level since the start of February, averaging 38.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists for just over 59 fantasy points per game in the last 13 games. He’s been doing everything for the Blazers with key players like Anfernee Simons and Jusuf Nurkic out, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

Lillard has scored at least 52 DK points in 17 of his last 22 games, with an average of over 60 fantasy points per game in that stretch. He’s also averaging 40 raw points per game, making him an elite-priced guard that checks all the boxes. Plus, he faces the Detroit Pistons’ awful defense, who are ranked 28th in defensive efficiency this season.

Despite his high price tag ($11,600 on DraftKings and $10,800 on FanDuel), Lillard is a must-have in all formats, especially given his favorable matchup against the Pistons. He’s been running heavy minutes and consistently getting a dose of 20+ shots, making him a reliable and explosive option for DFS players. So if you’re looking for a top-tier guard to build your lineups around on Monday, look no further than Damian Lillard.

Jimmy Butler DK $8,900 – FD $8,800

Looking for a top small forward option for your Monday DFS lineup? Look no further than Jimmy Butler (SF – MIA). Butler has been red-hot recently, scoring over 41 fantasy points in eight of his last 12 games, with an average of 43 points in that stretch.

With Kyle Lowry out, Butler has taken over primary ball-handling duties and is poised for another big night against an Atlanta team that has struggled to defend opposing forwards. Butler is an excellent mid-tier option for Monday’s slate, and he has a great opportunity to shine against the Hawks who always seem to struggle against small forwards.

Domantas Sabonis DK $10,000 – FD $9,700

Looking for a high-scoring big man for your Monday DFS lineup? Consider Domantas Sabonis (PF/C – SAC). Sabonis has been playing some of his best basketball since recovering from a thumb injury, earning an All-Star berth this year. He’s been a consistent fantasy producer, scoring at least 42 DraftKings points in 39 of his last 41 games and averaging an impressive 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. As the centerpiece of the highest-scoring offense in the NBA, Sabonis is in an excellent position to have another big night against a team with an 8-21 record in their last 29 games.

The Pelicans/Kings game has the highest total (239) on Monday’s slate, making it a must to get some exposure. Sabonis should be your top priority in this game, as he’s been incredibly consistent since the start of February. Since the break, he’s scored over 50 fantasy points in three straight games and four of the last six, with an average of over 50 fantasy points per game. While the Pelicans are a Top 10 team in overall defensive efficiency, they struggle against centers, giving up the most fantasy points to the position in the league. So make sure to fire up Sabonis in all formats for Monday’s slate.

Fred VanVleet DK $8,500 – FD $8,200

Fred VanVleet (PG, TOR) is a great option for Monday’s DFS slate as he’s been on fire lately. In his last game against the Wizards, he posted an impressive 59.5 DK/59.8 FD points across 40 minutes. After shaking off any rust from a recent absence, he’s poised to take on the Nuggets, who have had trouble containing point guards consistently.

Denver has allowed the fourth-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (29.0) and a 37.7 percent three-point shooting to the position. VanVleet has been most productive on the road, averaging 41.5 DK/40.9 FD points per contest across 26 games.

VanVleet is  a strong mid-tier option with a high ceiling for Monday’s slate.
