Cavs big men
Jarrett Allen is a player that provides consistent production at a relatively affordable price point. He has been playing some of the best basketball of his career, scoring at least 26 DraftKings points in 9 consecutive games and has an average of 36 points over that span. This average is not far off his 33-point average for the entire season, making him a reliable option for fantasy owners.
In this particular matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, Allen presents an even more attractive option. The Clippers are a tough defensive team, but they struggle against opposing centers. The Clippers own a 19th OPRK (Opponent Rank) against centers and Allen has already shown that he can produce against them. In their first meeting this season, Allen recorded 10 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks, which translated to 49 DK points. That kind of ceiling is remarkable for a player priced at $7,000.
Allen has been one of the best centers in the Eastern Conference this season and his limited usage only adds to his value. With Donovan Mitchell expected to miss this game, Allen’s shot attempts are likely to increase, making him an even more attractive option for fantasy owners. The Clippers do allow the 9th most fantasy points to opposing centers, so Allen is poised for another big performance.
Evan Mobley is another player to keep an eye on for this game. The Cleveland Cavaliers could again be without several key players, including Donovan Mitchell, and the Clippers are likely to rest some of their stars as well. In the last two games that Mitchell missed, Mobley scored 42.75 and 44 DKFP, and he has scored over 42 DKFP in four of the last six games. Mobley is a player that could benefit greatly from the short-handed rosters of both teams and provides a great value at $7,200.
