Kristaps Porzingis
Porzingis has been on a tear lately, and his recent performances suggest that he is eager to lead the Wizards to the playoffs. With Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma out, the team will be relying heavily on Porzingis and their role players to step up. In his last five games, Porzingis has shown that he is up to the task, and he will be looking to continue his hot streak on Sunday.
Despite concerns about his workload, Porzingis has been putting up some impressive numbers lately. With a 37 percent usage rate and an average of 1.6 DK points per minute in games without Beal, Kuzma, and Monte Morris, he is poised for a big game against the Raptors. In fact, he has been averaging over 45 fantasy points per game since February 1, which is just shy of his impressive 43-point average for the year.
Porzingis has also had some success against the Raptors this month, collecting 51 and 39 DK points in two previous matchups. If he can replicate that kind of production on Sunday, he will be one of the top DFS plays of the day.
Jaylen Brown
Brown’s potential value is boosted by the uncertain status of his teammate Jayson Tatum, who is questionable for Sunday’s game. While both players can coexist on the court, Tatum’s presence could limit Brown’s fantasy totals if they both suit up. However, if Tatum sits, Brown becomes an even more enticing option.
In fact, Brown has been a dominant force in games without Tatum, averaging nearly 50 fantasy points per game in nearly 20 such outings since the start of last season. He has a high usage rate of 34 percent in those games, which makes sense given his impressive recent form. Brown has scored at least 41 fantasy points in 10 of his last 11 games, showing that he is one of the most consistent performers in the league right now.
The matchup against the Spurs couldn’t be better for Brown’s fantasy potential. San Antonio is struggling defensively this season, ranking last in both defensive efficiency and points allowed. Additionally, they are surrendering the most fantasy points in the NBA, which means that Brown could be in for a big game on Sunday.
Anthony Davis
Davis has taken on an even bigger role in the Lakers’ offense with LeBron James out, and he has been producing at a high level as a result. In games without James, Davis has a usage rate of 35 percent and is averaging 1.6 DraftKings points per minute. He has been on a tear lately, posting an average of 53 fantasy points per game over his last 12 outings.
Davis also has a high ceiling, with the potential to put up an 80-point performance on any given night. This could be the case on Sunday, as he faces off against Nikola Vucevic, who is known for his weaker defense. With Vucevic likely to struggle against Davis, the Lakers’ big man could be in line for a huge fantasy performance.
Darius Garland
Garland has been a revelation this season, taking his game to the next level and establishing himself as a consistent DFS performer. His average of 40 DraftKings points per game is impressive for a player priced at just $7,500, and he has maintained that level of production in his recent outings. Over his last 14 games, Garland has averaged 38 fantasy points per game, which is a testament to his consistency and reliability.
The matchup against the Houston Rockets only adds to Garland’s appeal as a top DFS play. The Rockets are terrible defensively this season, ranking 29th in points allowed and 28th in defensive efficiency this season. They have also been giving up the most fantasy points to opposing point guards, which bodes well for Garland’s fantasy potential. Garland dropped 53 DraftKings points in his previous matchup against the Rockets, which highlights just how dominant he can be in this favorable matchup.
