NBA DFS Top Plays for Sunday 4/2/23
As the Dallas Mavericks fight for their playoff lives, all eyes are on their superstar, Luka Doncic. Despite a difficult matchup against the Heat, Doncic showed up and put up an impressive 71 DK points. Tonight, he will face the Atlanta Hawks, a team that allows the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing teams and ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency.
Although he only scored 44.5 DK points in the last Mavericks-Hawks matchup, it was due to an outlier game with seven turnovers and a 9-for-19 shooting performance.
With the highest implied total on the board and the top matchup for fantasy production, Doncic is a must-have in your lineup.
Anthony Davis has been in excellent form lately, putting up at least 60 DK points in three of his last four games. This impressive performance is a testament to his full recovery and his potential to dominate the court. In fact, if he repeats this feat tonight against the Houston Rockets, he could provide well over 5x value at his current DraftKings salary.
The Rockets, who allow the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing teams, are a dream matchup for players in fantasy basketball. Despite being the top team in rebounding rate, the Rockets rank a dismal 29th in defensive efficiency. While the current spread is 11.5 points, I believe this game will be much closer, giving Davis ample opportunity to shine.
With his impressive recent form and the favorable matchup against the Rockets, Davis is a strong pick for DraftKings tonight. Expect him to put up a monster score if he sees his full complement of minutes.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is undoubtedly the Oklahoma City Thunder’s biggest asset as they fight for a spot in the postseason. The young star is averaging a career-high 50 DraftKings points per game and has scored at least 40 fantasy points in an impressive 32 consecutive games, with an average of 52 points in that span. With so much volatility on this slate, it’s hard to overlook SGA’s consistent output, particularly since the Thunder are fighting for their playoff lives.
Phoenix may pose a challenge for the Thunder, but SGA has already proven that he can handle the Suns with scores of 53 and 62 DK points in their two most recent matchups. At FD – $10500 and DK – $9800, SGA is a solid pick for DFS tonight. Expect him to continue his impressive streak and lead the Thunder to a crucial win.
Evan Mobley is a player on the brink of superstardom, yet he seems to be flying under the radar. The 2022 Rookie of the Year runner-up has been consistently putting up impressive numbers, scoring at least 36 DraftKings points in 11 of his last 13 games, with a remarkable average of 44 points in that span. What’s more remarkable is that Mobley is only 21 years old and has the potential to become a five-figure player next season.
With Jarrett Allen currently injured, Mobley is getting more minutes, shot attempts, and rebounds, which is reflected in his performance. In fact, he has scored at least 37 DK points in 11 of the last 12 games that Allen has missed. Moreover, he faces an excellent matchup against the Indiana Pacers, who allow the third-most fantasy points to opposing big men.
At FD – $8800 and DK – $8600, Mobley is an excellent value pick for DFS tonight. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to add this rising star to your lineup and witness his potential to dominate the court.
