NBA DFS Top Plays for Thursday 2/16/23

Giannis Antetokounmpo DK $12,700 – FD $12,500

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a must-have on any NBA DFS roster. As an MVP candidate, he has been averaging nearly 60 DraftKings points per game and has scored at least 51 DK points in all 11 games since his return from injury. His impressive stat lines have made him a reliable and consistent player.

Despite his ongoing knee troubles, he has continued to dominate on the court, with only Portland managing to hold him under 5x value since January 25. Giannis has already posted an average of 72 points in his two matchups against the Chicago Bulls this season. It would be unwise to bet against him on a short three-game slate.

Kristaps Porzingis DK $9,200 – FD $9,100

Don’t overlook Porzingis, who’s been putting up great numbers lately. Despite struggling during the opening month, the Latvian is averaging 43 DraftKings points per game this season. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged an impressive 48 points per game, even with a full roster. Facing the Minnesota Timberwolves is a favorable matchup for Porzingis, as they’re ranked fourth in pace while giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards.

While some may still be hesitant to trust Porzingis, given his past struggles, he has been consistent lately. He has scored 62 actual points in the last two games alone, and has four straight games with over 40 fantasy points. The matchup against the KAT-less Timberwolves only adds to his appeal. Consider stacking this game on the small slate if you’re looking for a way to differentiate your lineup.

Jrue Holiday DK $7,500 – FD $8,000

Jrue Holiday is a great option for NBA DFS lineups, especially considering his recent performance. Over the past four games, he has been averaging 24.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.0 assists, while generating 37 or more DraftKings points in each game. He also had a monster game with 64 fantasy points.

Even though the Chicago Bulls are ranked 7th in defensive efficiency, they are playing on a back-to-back, which could work in Holiday’s favor. Additionally, Holiday has been consistently playing many minutes, and his price hasn’t increased much. This makes him a viable option for all formats.

Kyle Kuzma DK $7,900 – FD $7,700

Kyle Kuzma is a solid option for tonight’s slate, with his price tag sitting at $7,700 on FanDuel and $7,900 on DraftKings. He returned from injury in the last game and scored 33 points with nine rebounds against Portland. He has a good matchup against Minnesota, which often struggles on defense. While Kuzma has failed in great spots before, it’s still worth considering him in multiple lineups.

Over the past month, Kuzma has posted five 50+ point fantasy games and averaged nearly a double-double with 22.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. He also contributed 4.5 assists and 1.1 blocks+steals per game for an average of over 42 fantasy points per game. At his sub-$8K price point and his past performance, Kuzma is a great value option for tonight’s slate. With a small slate, Kuzma is a close to a lock for your lineups, especially with his strong production over the past month.

Bradley Beal DK $7,700 – FD $9,300

Bradley Beal is a high-volume scorer and is still shooting at a strong clip, with no game under 46% shooting since January 28. Although he does contribute decent peripheral stats, his main value comes from his ability to put up points in bunches. Despite a recent subpar fantasy performance, Beal has been on fire over the past five games, averaging over 40 fantasy points per game.

On DraftKings, where he’s priced at just $7,700, Beal is an excellent value play. On FanDuel, where he’s priced above $9K, he’s a bit more expensive and may be better suited for GPPs rather than cash games. Overall, Beal is a viable option, and his high-volume scoring makes him a strong tournament play on both sites.

With so many options available, it can be tough to choose the right players for your DFS lineup. Hopefully, our list of top NBA DFS plays for has given you some ideas for building a winning lineup.
