Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: A Must-Have in Your NBA DFS Lineup

If you’re looking for a player who will bring in big returns, look no further than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The young sensation from the Oklahoma City Thunder is a standout player and is likely to make an appearance in the All-Star game in a few weeks. With an impressive average of 50 DraftKings points per game this season and a 40-point floor, SGA is a solid pick for your NBA DFS lineup.

SGA’s recent performance against the Warriors was nothing short of outstanding, with over 50 fantasy points on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The player’s ability to get to the free-throw line, combined with his 57.7 percent field goal shooting and 66.7 percent from three-point range, make him a valuable asset in any lineup.

Houston, the team SGA will be facing tonight, has a terrible defense and is one of the worst teams when it comes to defending against point guards. They have a high offensive efficiency rating (29.5) and are tied for the second-most assists per game given up to the position (9.5). Additionally, the Rockets have surrendered the most DraftKings (54.9) and FanDuel (54) points per game to point guards, along with a poor 36.7 percent three-point shooting overall.

SGA’s recent form and his impressive average of 50 DraftKings points per game make him a valuable asset in any lineup, especially against the Rockets. He has scored at least 51 fantasy points in five straight fixtures and has a 57-point average in that span. With a proven track record of scoring at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last four meetings with the Rockets, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a must-have for your NBA DFS lineup tonight.

Pascal Siakam DK $9,400 – FD $9,200

Pascal Siakam, the versatile big man of the Toronto Raptors who has been delivering consistent fantasy basketball performances all season long. With an average of nearly 50 DraftKings points per game, Siakam is a valuable asset for any DFS lineup. And what’s even more exciting is that Siakam is facing a Utah Jazz team that’s been a fantastic matchup for opposing bigs this season. The Jazz rank 25th in defensive efficiency and have surrendered the second-most fantasy points to big men.

Despite a minor slump recently, Siakam is in an excellent position to bounce back against the Jazz. They have allowed the eighth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers, while giving up over 58 fantasy points per game on either DraftKings or FanDuel in the last 15 games. Siakam’s recent slump has lowered his price, making him a valuable pick in a tasty matchup like this. And with OG Anunoby also sidelined, Siakam is set to see even more action on the court.

While some DFS players may shy away from Siakam due to his recent performance, this could be the perfect opportunity to take advantage of his low ownership. With Utah’s porous defense, expect Siakam to deliver a performance worthy of your DFS lineup tonight.

De’Aaron Fox DK $8,200 – FD $8,600

De’Aaron Fox (PG – SAC) is priced at $8,200 on DraftKings and $8,600 on FanDuel. Playing against the Spurs is a great opportunity for Fox, as they have the worst defense in the league, giving up the most points and ranking last in defensive efficiency. This is good news for Fox, who has a season average of 41 DraftKings points per game. He has also recorded at least 46 DK points in four of his last five games, including a 38-point average against the Spurs this season.

In a recent win against the Timberwolves, Fox exceeded his salaries with over 50 fantasy points on both sites. Despite a $100 decrease in salary on DraftKings, he has a great opportunity against the Spurs, who have given up 49.1% shooting and the highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards. Over the last seven games, the Spurs have conceded over 52 fantasy points per game on both sites, and Fox recorded 46.8 DK/46.6 FD points in one of his prior games against the Spurs.

Fox has become a standout player this season, known for his in-paint prowess. Against the Spurs, who have the third-most fantasy points surrendered to opposing point guards, Fox is expected to perform well, with an average of 38 DK points per game against them. With his recent hot streak, Fox is poised for a solid outing against the struggling Spurs defense.

D’Angelo Russell DK $7,100 –  FD $7,000

Russell is having a strong recent performance, scoring over 40 DK points in three of his last five games and exceeding that mark on FD twice in that span. He’ll take on one of his former teams, the Warriors, who present an attractive matchup.

Golden State struggles against point guards, allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating (28.5) and the fourth-most DK (52.2) and fifth-most FD (51.5) points per game to the position in the last 15 games. Additionally, the Warriors have a poor road three-point shooting defense (40.7%), and Russell is shooting an impressive 48.7% from beyond the arc in the past 13 games.

Despite his strong play, Russell’s salary remains low, and he’s been a frequent recommendation in this section. He’s been thriving, averaging 35 fantasy points per game, since Karl-Anthony Towns’ injury, which has increased his shot attempts and usage.

In the past seven games, Russell has scored at least 36 DK points six times, with an average of 39 points. Against the 26th ranked Warriors, who surrender the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing guards, we anticipate Russell to continue his success.

Domantas Sabonis DK $9,900 – FD $9,600

Sabonis is in excellent form and has been a dominant force recently. He’s scored 41 or more DraftKings points in 18 of his last 21 games, putting up triple-double numbers in that span. He’s been even better lately, averaging 50 DK points per game, and now faces the worst defensive team in the NBA. In his last game against San Antonio three weeks ago, he recorded 18 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists.

Sabonis is my top pick of the day. He has an average of 47 fantasy points per game, scoring at least 42 DK points in 24 of his last 26 games. He’s putting up impressive averages of 19.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game lately. Those numbers are remarkable, even for a player like Nikola Jokic, and should be easily achievable against the weakest defense in the NBA.

In his prior matchup with San Antonio, Sabonis recorded 18 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists, showing his potential for a 30-point triple-double. There aren’t many players with this level of upside for under $10,000.
