NBA DFS Top Value Plays for 11/14/23

Josh Giddey, OKC vs. SAN ($6,600)

Josh Giddey has been on a rollercoaster ride this season, but his recent performances have shown glimpses of his potential. While his salary might not be dirt cheap, anything below $7K is a reasonable investment considering his upside. In his last three games, Giddey has averaged a solid 30.8 FanDuel points per game. Notably, in his most recent game against the Suns, he exploded for 40.2 FD points, recording a double-double with 10 points, 10 assists, two steals, and two blocks.

The matchup on Tuesday favors Giddey as the Thunder face the San Antonio Spurs, a team known for its fast pace and generous defense. The Spurs are surrendering a league-high 48 FD points per game and allowing shooting guards to shoot 47.3 percent. Moreover, they give up the third-most assists per game in the league (27.6). All signs point to Giddey having a shot at exceeding his value.

Jerami Grant (SF/PF – POR): $7,500 DraftKings, $6,700 FanDuel

With injuries plaguing the Portland Trail Blazers, Jerami Grant has stepped up as their primary playmaker. He’s boasting a substantial 35 percent usage rate in the absence of key guards and has consistently scored at least 33 fantasy points in five of his last six games. Notably, he displayed his upside with a massive 63-point performance recently.

Grant’s potential for substantial minutes is promising, especially since he’s expected to see around 40 minutes of playing time and take around 20 shots per game. Facing a Utah Jazz team with defensive struggles, Grant presents an enticing option, particularly at his FanDuel price point.

Jaime Jaquez, MIA at CHA ($5,700)

Jaime Jaquez has been seizing the opportunity created by Tyler Herro‘s injury. The rookie has been performing well, scoring over 20 FD points in five of his last seven games. In the two games that Herro missed, Jaquez showcased his skills, putting up 29.6 and 33.7 FD points. His all-around game, including points, rebounds, assists, and steals, makes him a valuable asset.

The matchup against the Charlotte Hornets further enhances Jaquez’s appeal. The Hornets allow 45.9 FD points to two-guards and boast an Eastern Conference-high 53.1 offensive efficiency rating for second-unit players. Jaquez is poised for another productive outing.

Duncan Robinson (SG/SF – MIA): $5,400 DraftKings, $5,200 FanDuel

Duncan Robinson, often known for his sharpshooting, is finally starting to justify his contract. With increased playing time due to Herro’s absence, Robinson has been playing around 35 minutes per game in his last three outings. Despite some shooting struggles, he’s managed to average 26 points over his last five games.

Charlotte’s weak defense against opposing wings adds to Robinson’s appeal. They surrender the fourth-most fantasy points to this position, making Robinson a potential value play with the chance for significant upside.

• Skylar Mays (PG – POR): $6,700 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel: Portland’s injuries have elevated Skylar Mays to the role of the primary point guard. In this expanded role, he’s scored 39 and 41 DK points in two recent games, showcasing his potential. With the opportunity he’s getting, Mays could provide excellent value, especially against a Utah team allowing the second-most fantasy points in the NBA.
• Tim Hardaway, DAL at NOP ($5,200): Tim Hardaway has consistently outperformed his current salary in several games this season. He’s been scoring at least 24.3 to 32.2 FD points in seven of his last 10 games. Additionally, facing the New Orleans Pelicans, who have struggled defensively, presents an opportunity for Hardaway to shine once again.
• Bismack Biyombo (C – MEM): $6,000 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel: Injuries in Memphis have propelled Bismack Biyombo into fantasy relevance. Despite being signed just a week ago, Biyombo has consistently scored over 33 DraftKings points in three of his four starts. As long as he continues to play around 30 minutes per night, he’s a valuable value play.
