NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Friday 01/27/23

NBA DFS Top value plays for winning your DFS Contests

Welcome to our daily fantasy basketball guide for the upcoming slate of games. In this article, we will be breaking down some of the top players to target for your lineup. Whether you’re playing in a cash game or a tournament, these players have the potential to deliver big returns on their respective salaries.

NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Friday 01/27/23

Pat Connaughton (FD $5,300 – DK $4,100)

Pat Connaughton of the Milwaukee Bucks is a player worth considering for your NBA DFS lineup tonight as he faces off against the Indiana Pacers. Despite being a relatively low-usage player, Connaughton has been on a hot streak recently, averaging 11.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over his last nine games. He’s also been shooting well from beyond the arc, hitting 41.3% of his three-point attempts. Furthermore, the Pacers have struggled to defend small forwards, giving up the seventh-highest offensive efficiency rating to the position. With an implied total of the highest on the slate, Connaughton could be a great value pick for tonight’s DFS lineup.

Another factor working in Connaughton’s favor is the recent injury to Bobby Portis, which has opened up more playing time for him. In the game that Portis missed, Connaughton logged an impressive 38.1 minutes, finishing with a double-double and 44.5 DKFP. He’s been particularly strong on the boards, averaging 7.4 rebounds per game over his last nine appearances.

If you’re looking for a bargain pick for your NBA DFS lineup tonight, Connaughton is definitely worth considering. His low salary makes him a standout option on DraftKings, and his recent performances make him a viable option on both Fanduel and DraftKings. With his combination of scoring, rebounding, and solid shooting, Connaughton could be a great pick to help you take down tonight’s tournament. Additionally, with the injuries to Serge Ibaka and Bobby Portis, Connaughton is in a great position to see more minutes and contribute to your lineup.

Caris LeVert (FD $5,400 – DK $5,200)

Caris LeVert is a versatile guard/forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has been a solid contributor when starting, averaging 32 DraftKings points per game this season. LeVert’s role may expand with Mitchell’s injury, and he has a solid 28% usage rate when Mitchell is off the floor. While LeVert’s value may be affected by Mitchell’s return, at the current price range of $5,200 on DraftKings and $5,400 on FanDuel, he is a solid option if he starts.

Despite a poor performance on Thursday, LeVert’s potential as a secondary scorer for Cleveland without Mitchell should not be overlooked.

Brandon Clarke (FD $5,600 – DK $4,900)

With Steven Adams out for the next month due to a knee injury, Brandon Clarke is poised for a significant increase in playing time. The big man played 32 minutes on Wednesday in the first game without Adams and put up 34 fantasy points. He has shown time and time again that he is more than capable of putting up big numbers when given the opportunity. In fact, if he continues to play 30 minutes regularly, he should be considered a $7K player based on his average of 34 fantasy points per game in those circumstances this season.

Clarke’s matchup against Minnesota is particularly favorable, as the Timberwolves have been struggling defensively. Minnesota currently allows over 55 Fanduel points per game to centers in the last 15 games. In addition, Clarke will have to play big minutes to oppose Rudy Gobert, who is a dominant force in the paint.

Clarke’s role in the Memphis lineup is somewhat fluid, as the team has also been using Xavier Tillman as a starter. However, this should not be a major concern for DFS players, as Clarke and Tillman are both versatile players who can fill different roles depending on the matchup. Even if Tillman were to play, he’s a somewhat easy swap with Clarke even if it’s after lineup lock, so it is important to monitor the situation closely in our discord

Overall, Brandon Clarke is an excellent DFS option today and for the next month with Steven Adams out. He is coming off of a strong performance against the Warriors, and he has the ability to pile up fantasy points when given the opportunity. With a favorable matchup against Minnesota and a potentially increased role in the Memphis lineup, Clarke is a player that should not be overlooked. He’s a bargain at his current price point, and he has the potential to return great value for your fantasy team.

Kyle Lowry (FD $5,900 – $4,700)

Kyle Lowry may be struggling in recent weeks, but the veteran guard is still a force to be reckoned with. Despite his struggles, Lowry is still averaging nearly 30 fantasy points per game, which is an impressive total from such an affordable player. With his health starting to improve, we can expect to see him play more minutes in the coming games. One matchup that could be particularly beneficial for Lowry is the one with the Orlando Magic. In their last matchup, Lowry collected 44 fantasy points, and we believe he has the potential to do it again.

Lowry’s recent performance has been a bit inconsistent, with a high of 28.8 DraftKings points in four outings following a four-game absence. But this matchup with the Magic is a great opportunity for him to get back on track. The Magic allow opposing point guards to shoot an average of 45.8 percent from the field, which should give Lowry the space he needs to take advantage of the matchup.

In addition, Lowry’s DraftKings price is relatively low at $4,700, and is expected to play around 30 minutes, with a projected usage rate of 17.35%. This makes him an attractive option for DraftKings players, especially when considering his potential to take advantage of the Magic’s 19th ranked point guard efficiency. Overall, Lowry is a player to keep an eye on in this matchup with the Magic.

TJ McConnell (FD $7,400 – DK $6,500)

TJ McConnell’s value as a cash-game option cannot be denied. With Haliburton out with an injury, McConnell has been a dependable starter, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points in seven of his last nine games. He has been averaging 37 fantasy points per game in that span and has been playing an impressive 38 minutes per game over the last three fixtures. Given his impressive numbers and consistent playing time, it’s surprising that his price hasn’t adjusted to reflect this.

Until Tyrese Haliburton returns, it may be wise to take advantage of McConnell’s low price and consider him as a strong option for your lineup. Despite the potential for a blowout against the Bucks, his value remains solid on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

We hope this article has helped you make some informed decisions for your fantasy basketball lineup. Remember to keep an eye on injury reports and player rotations as they can change quickly and impact our predictions. Good luck and have fun!
