NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Friday 3/24/23

NBA DFS Top Value Plays

In this article, we’ll explore the NBA DFS top value plays for the day’s matchups, providing you with key insights that will help you build a winning lineup. So without further ado, let’s dive into the NBA DFS top value plays for Friday, March 24th, 2023.

Deni Avdija

One player that should be on your radar for NBA DFS games on Friday, March 24th, 2023 is Deni Avdija of the Washington Wizards. Avdija is listed at $5,900 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel, making him an affordable option with a high ceiling. With Beal and Kuzma likely out for this game, Avdija is expected to start and play around 30 minutes.

In his last three games, Avdija has scored at least 28 DraftKings (DK) points and has a 33-point average when he plays 30 or more minutes per game. He’s an all-around player who can score, rebound, and assist, as evidenced by his 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in his last outing against the Nuggets. In the 21 games this season where he has played at least 30 minutes, he’s averaging 14.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.

The Spurs are the perfect opponent for Avdija to have a big game against, as they are ranked last in almost every defensive statistic. The Wizards are also in a prime fantasy spot, making stacking Washington players with this opportunity a popular play. Avdija’s talent and opportunity make him a high-floor option for cash games and a high-ceiling option for tournaments.

Nick Richards

Another player who could provide excellent value in Friday’s NBA DFS games is Nick Richards of the Charlotte Hornets. Richards is listed at $5,100 on DraftKings and $5,600 on FanDuel, and he’s currently taking over the starting center duties in the absence of Mark Williams. Williams was already filling in for Mason Plumlee, and now Richards is guaranteed 25-30 minutes per night.

Richards has capitalized on his opportunity and has scored at least 32 fantasy points in five of his last seven games. He’s also shown a 42-point upside in two of those games and could be asked to do more with half of the Charlotte roster currently injured.

Monte Morris

Morris is expected to have an increased role in the offense with Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma both out for the game against the Spurs.

The Spurs are ranked as one of the worst defensive teams in the league, which presents a favorable matchup for the Wizards. Furthermore, the Spurs are expected to be without some of their key players, including their best defender in Jeremy Sochan.

Despite the unconventional rotations of the Wizards, Morris should start at point guard and have more playmaking responsibilities and opportunities for shot attempts. He may not be the most exciting play, but he should have a solid floor due to his increased role on offense.

In cash games, Morris is a safe option at this price, and his ownership is likely to be high based on his performance in the previous game against the Pacers. With the Wizards shorthanded and facing a weak Spurs defense, Morris is a smart value play for Friday’s NBA DFS games.

P.J. Washington

P.J. Washington of the Charlotte Hornets is another player to keep an eye on for NBA DFS games on Friday, March 24th, 2023. Washington is priced at $6,400 on FanDuel and $5,900 on DraftKings.

The Hornets are facing a tough matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, and they will be extremely shorthanded due to several injuries. With Kelly Oubre Jr, Terry Rozier, and Dennis Smith Jr. all expected to be out, Gordon Hayward will be playing some point guard, and Washington should see a lot of opportunities on offense.

In his last game against the Pelicans, Washington put up a lot of shots (20), including 10 from beyond the arc, but didn’t score big numbers. However, the Mavericks have struggled against the power forward and center positions this season due to their tendency to play small. Washington could take advantage of this matchup if he doesn’t rely solely on outside shots.

Washington’s volatility makes him a risky play, but his upside is significant with the massive usage bump he is likely to receive tonight. He could be a solid value play if he can take advantage of the Mavericks’ weaknesses on defense.
