NBA DFS Top value plays for winning your DFS Contests

Welcome to our latest edition of NBA DFS Value Plays. With so many games and players to choose from, finding the right balance between talent, opportunity and price is key to building a winning lineup. In this article, we’ll be highlighting some of the best value options available to help you create a roster that gives you the best chance to succeed.

NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Monday 1/30/23

Thomas Bryant DK $5,000, FD $5,800

Bryant’s value has taken a big hit lately with the return of Davis, but the big man is set to start in a 30-minute role. With the Lakers’ two superstars sitting this one out, Bryant is expected to be a key player in the offense. He was priced at $7K earlier this month and could provide good value at this salary.

While Davis was out with a foot injury, Bryant stepped up as a starter, contributing 15.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game over 20 games. Without Davis on Monday, Bryant could shine.

Bryant was a strong performer during Davis’ month-long absence, and he’ll get a chance to repeat that success with Davis out again on Monday.

In the last 10 games without Davis, Bryant put up an average of 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds and recorded four double-doubles. One standout performance against the Blazers saw him score 31 points and 14 rebounds for 55.5 DraftKings points.

The Lakers have plenty of value without their stars, and Bryant is among several options who could exceed expectations in this favorable matchup on Monday night.

Alec Burks DK $5,000, FD $4,900

Burks has been a key player for the Pistons in the absence of Cade Cunningham (leg), and has made a strong impact in the starting lineup for the last two games. He has provided at least 6x value on DraftKings in both games and has shot an impressive 57% from the field, contributing 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The Mavericks are a favorable opponent, ranking 24th in defensive efficiency, and with Luka Doncic potentially out for a second straight game, Burks could see an increase in scoring opportunities.

In his two most recent starts, Burks has delivered 20 and 21 points, while shooting 60% from beyond the arc. He has also contributed 3.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game, adding to his overall fantasy production. While his long-range shooting may not be sustainable, Burks is worth a look while he’s hot and providing a much-needed scoring boost for the Pistons. The Detroit-Dallas game may not be the most exciting match of the night, but Burks offers solid bargain potential if he stays in the starting lineup.

Bradley Beal DK $7,300, FD $8,000

Beal is a steal at his current price on DraftKings, considering his scoring average of 36 fantasy points per game and role as the primary playmaker for the Wizards. Despite his missed games and inconsistent performance, Beal’s usage has returned in recent games with 17 shot attempts in three consecutive games.

He also benefits from a favorable matchup against the Spurs, who rank last in defensive efficiency and play at a fast pace. All things considered, Beal is a solid choice for all formats on DraftKings.

Jeremy Sochan DK $5,000, FD $5,600

Jeremy Sochan’s consistent performance has made him a reliable fantasy option. He’s recorded 27 or more DraftKings points in 6 straight games, averaging 18.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Despite a moderate matchup against WAS (14th in Def Eff), he’s worth considering in all formats at his current prices ($5600 on FD, $5000 on DK).

In his latest outing, Sochan exploded for 30 points, shooting 11-for-25 from the field, with 3-for-6 from 3-point range. As the Spurs lack quality scoring options, Sochan could continue to see an increase in shots taken.
