NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Tuesday 3/28/23
With Ja Morant doubtful to play, Tyus Jones is due for a spot start at point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite his excellent track record as a starter, Jones’ salary has dropped significantly on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
In his 20 starts this season, Jones has averaged an impressive 37 DK points per game across 33 minutes a night. This makes him an outstanding value play for DFS players, especially considering his current salary. Jones has been in good form lately, with 27.1 and 22.9 FD points in his last two games, despite playing just 23 and 22 minutes in those contests.
Dennis Smith Jr. is another player who could offer excellent value for DFS players on Tuesday’s slate, despite his relatively high salary on DraftKings and FanDuel.
With the Charlotte Hornets missing several key playmakers, including LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier, and potentially Kelly Oubre, Smith is likely to be the primary playmaker for the team. He could see a significant increase in minutes and ball-handling duties, which bodes well for his DFS prospects.
The Hornets will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are ranked 20th in total defense, making this an excellent matchup for Smith. In his last game against the Dallas Mavericks, Smith put up 14 points, six assists, and five rebounds in just 28 minutes of play. Although Smith’s salary is relatively high, his increased usage and playing time make him a strong value play for DFS players looking to maximize their earnings on Tuesday’s NBA slate.
Nick Richards is a player to watch for DFS players on Tuesday’s slate, with an affordable salary on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Richards is likely to resume his starting role for the Charlotte Hornets, who have been rotating their three centers in recent games.
In his expanded role earlier this season, Richards scored at least 27 DK points in six of eight games, averaging nearly 35 fantasy points per game in those six outings. These are impressive numbers for a player with a salary of around $5K. Additionally, the Oklahoma City Thunder, who the Hornets will face on Tuesday, have been allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season, making this an advantageous matchup for Richards.
Delon Wright is another player who could offer excellent value for DFS players on Tuesday’s slate, with a relatively affordable salary on DraftKings and FanDuel. With several key players expected to be out for the Washington Wizards, including Kyle Kuzma, Bradley Beal, and Raul Neto, Wright is likely to be one of the only ball-handlers left for the team.
Given the number of key players missing for the Wizards on Tuesday, it seems likely that Wright will see a significant increase in playing time, making him an excellent value play for DFS players.
