NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Wednesday 3/8/23
Jonas Valanciunas DK $6,900 – FD $6,400
One player that stands out as a top value play for Wednesday’s NBA DFS slate is Jonas Valanciunas, the center for the New Orleans Pelicans. Valanciunas is priced at $6,900 on DraftKings and $6,400 on FanDuel.
With Zion Williamson and Larry Nance Jr. both out for New Orleans, Valanciunas is expected to have a secure 30-minute role in tonight’s game. When given that much playing time, he is considered one of the best big men in DFS. He has played at least 25 minutes in 36 games this season, and he’s put up an impressive 36-point average in those outings.
While the Mavericks can be a tough matchup, their center position is one of their weaknesses, which has been evident in their recent meetings with Valanciunas. In their two most recent matchups, Valanciunas has scored 36 and 43 DraftKings points, respectively. While there is some risk involved due to Valanciunas’ recent minutes limitation, it is hard to keep the big man off the floor with the absence of Zion and Nance Jr. Valanciunas has the potential to be a fantasy beast, averaging 42 DK points per game when he plays at least 29 minutes.
With his current price, he presents an excellent value play and has the potential to exceed expectations against a favorable opponent.

Delon Wright DK $5,200 – FD $5,800
Delon Wright is one of the top value plays for Wednesday’s NBA DFS slate. Wright is priced at $5,200 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel. He has been in our top value plays list before, and for good reason. With Monte Morris sidelined, Wright has taken over the starting point guard duties and has been stuffing the stat sheet with impressive performances. He has averaged 32 DraftKings points per game across his last seven outings, making him an excellent value play at his current price point. He could be an even better play if some of the Wizards’ regulars are rested in this back-to-back game.
Wright’s Tuesday performance showcased why he is a great fantasy option. Even though he only scored three points on four shots, he still managed to finish with 28 DraftKings points, thanks to his ability to stuff the stat sheet. He has proven to be a per-minute stud throughout his career, and his expanded role with the Wizards has allowed him to showcase his skills.
The Wizards are facing off against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, which presents an excellent matchup for Wright. The Hawks are ranked 21st in both points allowed and defensive efficiency, making it easier for Wright to rack up fantasy points. Overall, he presents a great value play for Wednesday’s slate and has the potential to exceed expectations once again.

Al Horford DK $5,500 – FD $5,700
Al Horford is priced at $5,500 on DraftKings and $5,700 on FanDuel and is a top value play for Wednesday’s NBA DFS slate. With Robert Williams out for the next two weeks due to a hamstring issue, Horford is expected to take on an expanded role as the starting center, which should guarantee him around 30-35 minutes per game. In that role last season, he was a $7K player and averaged an impressive 35 fantasy points per game. In his most recent game, Horford had a season-high 57 DraftKings points, showcasing his fantasy potential.
Horford sat out on Monday, but he should be ready to play on Wednesday after his excellent performance on Sunday. He is being moved to the center spot with Williams out, which should help him to maintain his excellent production. In fact, he averaged 35 DraftKings points per game last season when Williams was out, making him a valuable fantasy asset. Despite his recent success, Horford remains an affordable option, making him an excellent value play for Wednesday’s slate. The Portland Trail Blazers allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers, which bodes well for Horford’s fantasy potential. Overall, he presents a great value play and has the potential to exceed expectations once again.
OKC Thunder Value
The OKC Thunder have some exciting value plays for Wednesday’s NBA DFS slate. Jaylin Williams, the center for OKC, is priced at $3,700 on DraftKings and $4,800 on FanDuel. Williams has been starting at center and has shown flashes of brilliance in this role. He is averaging 15 DraftKings points per game across 17 minutes per game this season, but has an impressive 20-point average across 23 minutes per game in his last eight fixtures. This suggests that his potential is increasing, and he could be even better if some of the Thunder’s key players are rested for this game. While this is a risky option, Williams has the ability to drop 30-plus fantasy points on numerous occasions, making him an intriguing value play for Wednesday’s slate.
Isaiah Joe, the shooting guard for OKC, is another risky but potentially rewarding value play. Priced at $4,400 on both DraftKings and FanDuel, Joe has been playing exceptionally well in his recent starts, averaging 31 DraftKings points per game over his last four games. With Oklahoma City potentially resting some of their starters, Joe could see an increase in minutes and shot attempts, which could translate to a higher fantasy output. While this is a risky option, the potential reward is high, and Joe has the talent to provide great value for his price tag.
