NBA fastbreak 8-8-20

In this article I’m going to quickly go over some basic slate info to get our day started. This is not going to be an in depth detailed breakdown of each matchup, but more of a Macro view of the slate each morning. I’ll drop some injury blurbs in here as well that we should be monitoring and I’ll try to make a note of what those injuries mean for us in our DFS contests today.

**EDIT** We’ve made NASCAR, MLB, and NBA Study Hub’s FREE TODAY! Click here!!!

I’m confident in our team here at Rise or Fall, and I am confident that our Content, Tools, and One-on-One Coaching will help you become a more competitive player right out of the gate. Check out our Membership Options here

Slate Preview

Still waiting on almost all of the Vegas lines, likely because of teams resting players heading into the Playoffs, so I’ll udpdate this when we get them.

Pace up or Pace down

What is Pace? Well, a quick google search leads us a great explanation.

Pace, or how many possessions a team uses per 48 minutes, is something we often discuss when referring to specific teams or even specific eras of NBA history. It goes to the core of a team’s identity, defines it against its peers. Fast teams are fun. They run, they score, they entertain. Slow teams defend.

The Mavericks get the biggest bump in pace today, playing against the Bucks. This should be a good situation for Luka Doncic, even thought the Bucks are one of the top Defensive teams in the league. With the uptick in Pace he should have even more opportunities to create and wrack up fantasy points today.

📈 NBA STUDY HUB IS LIVE! 📈

Come check out our newest STUDY HUB. This will give you a quick overview of the slate. You’ll be able to quickly see how a player has performed vs today’s opponent in the past. You’ll also be able to see his recent Fantasy Point Trends and Minutes Trends, along with how frequently he has paid off today’s current price tag this season.

Injury Situations

MIA – Jimmy Butler – OUT
MIA – Goran Dragic – Questionable
MIA – Kendrick Nunn – OUT
– If Dragic is out, Tyler Hero is going to be a great play and big chalk across the industry. If Dragic plays, he’ll be a real good option with Nunn out
– If Dragic is out, Crowder and Iguodala should get real solid minutes at value prices

LAL – LeBron James – Questionable
LAL – Alex Caruso – Questionable
– If LeBron is out Kyle Kuzma is going to be a top option here

DEN – Jamal Murray – Questionable
DEN – Will Barton – OUT
DEN – Gary Harris – OUT
– Michael Porter Jr is the guy here with Barton and Harris out. His price is rising but he’s still too cheap
– If Murray is out, Monte Morris would start at PG again

IND – Myles Turner – Questionable
IND – TJ Warren – Questionable
IND – Doug McDermott – Questionable

LAC – Kawhi Leonard – OUT
LAC – Montrezl Harrell – OUT
LAC – Pat Beverley – OUT
– With Kawhi out, Paul George is going to be one of the top plays on the slate. Fading him I likely not an option today even though the Clippers don’t have a ton to play for

DAL – Dorain Finney Smith – Questionable
DAL – Seth Curry – Questionable

PHO – Kelly Oubre – Doubtful
PHO – Ellie Okobo – OUT
PHO – Aron Baynes – OUT

POR – Hassan Whiteside – Doubtful

I love you all, but I can’t give everything away for free. If you want more insight on these injury situations and how they effect tonight’s slate you’ll have to sign up for one of our Patreon Memberships, and jump in the discord with the coaches. As more news drops we will let you know exactly who is out and exactly who benefits with each situation.

Top Plays

I’ve set up a Rating for both Fanduel and Draftkings on the ROF Study Hub. This rating is something I’ve been working on that takes into account several factors of each slate each day. Rather than simply looking at the standard Projection and Value, my hope is that this rating will give us another level of insight each day.

Wrap it up

Be careful with NBA DFS late in the Season. I know this “restart” has gotten everyone excited but also remember is really late in the Season. Teams that have Playoff Spots already locked up likely aren’t going to push there veterans or star players too hard. This will lead to some great value opportunities but it can also make NBA DFS much more volatile and unpredictable than it normally is.

Love you all, thank you for checking out the article, and thank you for your continued support 💓💯
