NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for DraftKings 2/9

It’s time for the NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for Draftkings. I’ll be focusing on the Draftkings main contest on the main slate every day from the previous week. The “main contest” is the $15 unless DK switches things up and offers a $20 contest or maybe even a special lower priced event like an $8 contest.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing, specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

DraftKings Winning Lineups and Advice from Team Rise or Fall

This was a six-game slate that featured no players priced at 9k or above. There were two players in the lineup projected for 40+ fantasy points (pFPS), and there was only one player with a projected ownership (pOwn) above 20%.

This lineup bucks a lot of trends we’ve seen over the last five weeks. No players with a 9k+ price tag and only one player with significant ownership. We do see at least 2 teammates in the lineup so that trend continues. For now.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

Winning DraftKings Lineup from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was a 10-game slate that featured a return to normalcy. There was one player with a price tag above 9k, three players pFPS of 40 or more points, and four players with a pOwn of 20% or more. There were also two players with a pOwn of 19% including Dejounte Murray at 19.9%. A pretty chalky lineup that got unique with the 1.9% ownership of Sterling Brown.

Here’s the first place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

Winning DraftKings Lineup from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was a five-game slate that featured two players with a 9k+ price tag, three players pFPS of 40+, and five players with a pOwn of 20% or more. Kelly Oubre Jr. had a pOwn of 19.5% so that’s nearly six players at 20% or more. Chalk city baby. But once again we see all of the chalk offset by a super low owned player. Furkan Korkmaz was announced as a starter kind of late, and paying attention to the news and swapping paid off.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $500K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineups for DraftKings from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was a nine-game slate that featured a lineup that really stands out to me against all lineups over the six NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Reports for DraftKings.

There were four players from the same team in the lineup, and one player from the opposing team. That’s a massive game stack. There were no players priced at 9k or more, there were two players with pFPS of 40 or more, and there were five players with pOwn of 20% or more.

There were a lot of chalky players used in this entry due to the value provided by the Oklahoma City players. I doubt there are ten times in a season when we have a slate of this size and four players from the same team are in the winning lineup. Congrats to Chipotle.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $450K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was a nine-game slate with the winning lineup featuring one player priced above 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with pOwn of 20% or more. There were four players with pOwn below 10% although only two players remained at that level after lock.

This entry falls more in line with what I would expect from a nine-game slate as opposed to the entry on February 5th. This also shows how DFS (which stands for DAILY Fantasy Sports) can change from slate to slate. Player pool and salaries are going to be your guide on a day by day basis.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $15 NBA $350K Fadeaway:

Winning Lineup for DraftKings from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was a five-game slate that featured two players with a salary above 9k and three players with a salary below 4k. A true “Studs-n-Duds” approach. There were four players with pFPS of 40+, and technically no players with a pOwn of 20% or more, but Donovan Mitchell did come in at 19.9%.

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $4 NBA $500K Micro Millions Opener:

Winning DraftKings lineup from Team Rise or Fall and Fantasy Cruncher

This was an eight-game slate with the winning lineup featuring no players priced above 9k, FOUR players pFPS of 40+, and one player with pOwn of 20% or more. After lock there was still only one player in this entry with pOwn of 20% or more. The awesome thing about this lineup is the low ownership of players with huge production. That’s always a winning combination.

MORE NUMBERS

Lineup Numbers for DraftKings Report

*Every winning lineup featured at least two teammates. Two lineups used three teammates and one lineup used four teammates.

*Six out of seven lineups featured a game stack. The 2-1 stack was the most popular once again, coming in on four out seven entries.

*The winning lineup had a salary of $50,000 three times, $49,900 three times, and $49,800 one time. Using at least $49,800 in salary has been one of the most consistent themes.

CONCLUSION

We’re six weeks into the NBA DFS Weekly GPP Report for DraftKings and the biggest takeaway (For me) is setting your minimum salary at $49,800. I’ve analyzed 42 slates now and the winning lineup has used less than $49,800 in salary four times (9.5%).

Another rule that seems like it would work is making a group of all the players projected for 40 or more fantasy points and using at least two. We’ve seen as many as four players projected for 40+ in a lineup but nearly every lineup has used at least two players projected for that amount.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
