NEW NBA DFS Lineup Weekly GPP Report for FanDuel 3/18

Welcome to a another chapter of the Weekly NBA DFS Lineup Report for FanDuel. I analyze seven contests from the previous week and try to identify trends or strategies we can use to our advantage.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must-have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

March 11, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $400K Thu NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-11

This was an eleven-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, four players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

There were no game stacks in this lineup but we do see two combinations of two-man team stacks. Almost every winning lineup features at least one set of two teammates.

March 12, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the first place entry in the $3.33 $444K Fri NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning FanDuel NBA DFS lineup 3-12

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 10k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and SIX players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

We can see that this was a super chalky night. It happens. Sometimes you have to roll with the players everyone is going to use and get creative in other spots. Furkan Korkmaz being projected for less than 1% ownership in a spot start against a team that’s bad at defense is a great example of getting unique.

March 13, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Sat NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-13

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured three players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

I mentioned above that almost every lineup features two teammates. This lineup took things to the extreme with four pairs of teammates and two different game stacks. This proves once again that no matter what we find through the analysis we have to keep in mind that we’re attacking the slate for that particular day.

If your research leads you to play four players from one team then so be it. If you find that using one player per game is the optimal approach for a slate then you have to do that too.

March 14, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $400K Sun NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-14

This was a six-game slate with a winning entry that featured three players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

The stacks are a stackin! This lineup had a three and two man stack and a five-man game stack. That’s something we usually see on a two or three game slate. The salary at $59,600 is also out of the ordinary. I’ve been using a minimum salary of $59,800 so it just wasn’t meant to be for me this particular night.

March 15, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Mon NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-15

This was an eight-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and four players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Here’s another lineup that used less than $59,800 in salary. That means I probably wasn’t gonna win unless I lucked into the nuts lineup with a salary of 59.8k+. Something to keep in mind is the “winning” lineup isn’t necessarily the lineup with the highest possible score. It’s just the lineup that outscored all of the other lineups in the contest.

March 16, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Tue NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-16

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and six players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

Another smash night for the chalk and another bad night for me personally (or anyone) using a minimum salary higher than an absurd $58,800. To be clear, having a salary minimum higher than what we see here doesn’t mean you’ll have a losing night. It just means you won’t take first place if the lineup with a 58.8k salary is the best lineup for the night.

March 17, 2021 NBA DFS Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Wed NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning NBA DFS Lineup for FanDuel 3-17

This was a 10-game slate with a winning entry that featured three players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

We’re back to using the majority of the salary. There were six triple doubles in the NBA for this slate. If you didn’t have a couple of them in your lineups you probably didn’t have a good night.

CONCLUSION

It’s important to approach each slate as an individual contest. Things can change from day to day and I’m not just talking about the teams playing or the players’ salaries. Those factors do affect our overall process, but also keep an eye on injury news and projections. There’s no set way to increase your odds of a winning night other than hardwork and preparation. I know that’s corny but it’s true.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
