NEW NBA DFS Lineup Weekly GPP Report for FanDuel 3/4

It’s time for the NBA Weekly DFS Lineup Report for FanDuel. This will be like the review for DraftKings if you’ve been following along with that report.

I’ll be focusing on the FanDuel main contest on the main slate every day from the previous week. The “main contest” is the $3 Clutch Shot unless FD switches things up and offers a $4.44 contest or a $3.33 contest.

All of the information presented below comes via Fantasy Cruncher Pro and their Lineup Study and Rewind features. This is a must have tool if you’re being serious about DFS. You’ll have the ability to go back through years worth of data and analyze great players, or like I’ll be doing, specific contests. I really can’t recommend FC Pro enough.

Before I get to the lineup information I have to mention that Team Rise or Fall gets busy in all sports, not just basketball. Here’s an example of our success in PGA. It’s never too late to sign up and join the winning team!

February 25, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $500K Thu NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning Lineup for FanDuel 2-25

This was a six-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players above 9k in salary, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with a projected ownership of 20% or more. You can see there were two players (Donte DiVincenzo and Zion Williamson) that just missed the 20% ownership cut that would’ve made the cut if I rounded up.

Raulzinho Neto was the only player in the lineup that was projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points.

February 26, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $500K Fri NBA Clutch Shot:

FanDuel Winning Lineup for 2-26

This was an nine-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player priced above 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and two players with a projected ownership of 20% or more.

What stands out is that there are no team stacks in this lineup. There are three game stacks however (a player and another player from the opposing team). There were no players projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in the lineup.

February 27, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the first place entry in the $3.33 $444K Sat NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning FanDuel Lineup for 2-27

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured one player priced above 9k in salary, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with projected ownership of 20% or more.

The stacks were back in this lineup with two two teammate groupings. There were no players in the lineup projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points.

February 28, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Sun NBA Clutch Shot:

FanDuel Winning Lineup for 2-28

This was an eight-game slate with a winning entry that featured no players with a salary greater than 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and four players with projected ownership of 20% or more.

This is what I wrote in this exact spot one week ago:

Interesting to see that six of the nine available player spots were all from one game. Big game stacks like that are usually reserved for slates with five games or less. I guess this shows again that anything CAN happen in DFS although I wouldn’t bank on big game stacks on larger slates.

And then it happened again! Way to prove that I know what I’m talking about by having something that I claim rarely happens to happen again the following week. Ouch.

There was one player projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in the lineup.

March 1, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Mon NBA Clutch Shot:

FanDuel Winning Lineup for 3-1

This was a seven-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 9k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with projected ownership of 20% or more.

There were no teammate stacks used in this lineup although there were three mini-game stacks (1 player and one opponent) like we saw on February 26. There were no players projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in the lineup.

March 2, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $444K Tue NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning FanDuel Lineup for 3-2

This was a six-game slate with the top entry featuring one player priced above 9k, three players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and FIVE players projected for 20% or more in ownership.

What a great day for chalk. It happens like that sometimes although we’re seeing there are usually four or fewer players projected for 20% or more ownership in the winning lineup.

There were no players projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in the lineup.

March 3, 2021 Lineup

Here’s the 1st place entry in the $3.33 $600K Mountain Dew NBA Clutch Shot:

Winning FanDuel Lineup for 3-3

This was a ten-game slate with a winning entry that featured two players priced above 9k, two players projected for 40+ fantasy points, and three players with projected ownership of 20% or more. PJ Washington just missed the 20% ownership club at 19.9%.

If you get 71 fantasy points from TJ McConnell when he’s projected to be less than 1% owned you’re probably on track for a great night.

There were no players in the lineup projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points.

*Five out of seven lineups featured at least two teammates. Two lineups had no teammates and one lineup used four players from the same team. As I’ve mentioned two weeks in a row, four players from one team is unusual. (Don’t @ me if it happens tonight).

*Six out of seven lineups featured a game stack. The largest stack used four players from one team. The largest game stack was on an eight-game slate with a total of six players from one game.

*The winning lineup used the full $60,000 salary five out of seven times. The other two winning lineups used $59,900 and $59,800. This sticks with the trend of using a minimum salary of $59,800 per lineup.

*There were two players out of the 63 players across seven contests that were projected for less than 20 fantasy points.

NBA DFS Lineup CONCLUSION

I’ve looked at 45 contests so far for the New NBA DFS Lineup Weekly GPP Report for FanDuel. The total salary used has been below $59,800 just 11 times (24.4%). In five of those instances, the slate had five or fewer games. That makes sense to me because with fewer games we have to get more creative if we’re trying to get the top spot.

There have been four times when the salary was below $59,800 and the slate size was nine or more games.

I have to mention this every week just to keep hammering the point home: Very rarely do we see players projected for fewer than 20 fantasy points in the winning lineup. If you’re using Fantasy Cruncher you can set the “Min Proj. Included in Calc” in the Advanced Options “General” tab to 20 points to easily weed out the guys below the 20 point projection mark.

That’s all from me for now. I’ll see you all in a week. Until then, LET’S GET THIS MONEY!
