NFL DFS DraftKings and FanDuel Studs for Week 7
Thanks for checking out this week’s NFL DFS DraftKings and FanDuel Studs article. I’ll give a recap of last week’s plays and then we’ll get to what I like at this point in the week for the upcoming slate.
I’m hoping everyone is off to a great start to the 2021 NFL season. It’s been mid for me so far. I’m barely up overall, and if I was only playing on FanDuel I would be down for the season. DraftKings is bailing me out right now. If you’re having troubles in tournaments check out our NFL DFS Lineup Study series for trends that million dollar winners used to take down the top prize.
NFL DFS DraftKings Studs for Cash Games for Week 6 Results
Taylor Heinicke – QB – Washington Football Team – $5.8k
Mr. Heinicke scored 10.28 DraftKings points, good enough for the 17th overall quarterback on the slate. That’s a major bust right out of the gate. I thought the Washington Football Team would score a decent amount of points in route to a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. Nope. It was a 31-13 beatdown. The performance was so disappointing that rumors popped up about the WFT trading for Tua Tagovailoa.
Johnathan Taylor – RB – Indianapolis Colts – $6.6k
Taylor finished Week 6 as the #1 overall running back on the slate with 31.8 DK points. There was a huge run that helped add to those stats but no matter. He crushed it last week.

Carson Wentz – QB – Indianapolis Colts – $6.7k
Wentz scored 17.02 FD points and finished as the 10th overall quarterback on the slate. Teddy Bridgewater ($6.6k) finished ahead of Wentz with 21.26 FD points, but other than that the quarterbacks that scored more than Wentz were at least $300 more expensive. It really comes down to what you did with the rest of your roster if you used Wentz.
Darrel Williams – RB – Kansas City Chiefs – $5.2k
The chalky Chiefs running back scored 22.4 FD points and finished as the 4th overall running back on the slate. Williams hit 4.3x value so no complaints whatsoever.

Joe Burrow – QB – Cincinnati Bengals – $6.3k
Burrow scored 23.84 DK points and finished as the 8th overall quarterback on the slate. Dak Prescott ($7.1k) was the highest scoring quarterback with 31.8 DK points, so Burrow was $800 cheaper and scored eight fewer points.
Terry McLaurin – WR – Washington Football Team – $7.1k
Hey so remember a little earlier when I said Taylor Heinicke was a bust of a play? Well his top receiver was just as much of a bust as McLaurin registered 6.8 DK points last week. I really misread that game.

Patrick Mahomes – QB – Kansas City Chiefs – $9k
Mahomes scored 24.98 FD points which equals 2.8x value so not great. It didn’t ruin your day if you used Mahomes but there was more value on the table with Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, and Kyler Murray.
Cooper Kupp – WR – Los Angeles Rams – $8.2k
Kupp was chalky last week but like Williams it was fine to eat the chalk here. He busted out for 29.5 FD points and finished as the 2nd overall receiver on the slate.

Matthew Stafford – QB – Los Angeles Rams – $7.1k
This isn’t narrative based although it would be easy to believe that Stafford wants to go light up his old team. This is strictly based on A) Detroit ranking 31st in the NFL against the quarterback position, B) Stafford playing in a game with an implied total of 50.5 points, and C) Stafford is the 6th most expensive QB on the slate. I like him in all formats this weekend.
Darrel Williams – RB – Kansas City Chiefs – $5.8k
Williams ranks as the 2nd highest value at the running back position in our NFL DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. The Chiefs take on the Tennessee Titans who rank 30th against the running back position. I’m going to lock him in and move on with my day.
NFL DFS FanDuel Studs for Cash Games for Week 7
Tom Brady – QB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – $8k
Brady is the 4th highest value in our NFL DFS Study Hub for FanDuel. He and the Bucs take on a Chicago Bears team that’s middle of the pack against QBs (18th). I like the Tampa defense to put the offense in position to have a big day. That means Brady will have opportunities for a lot of points.
Myles Gaskin – RB – Miami Dolphins – $5.6k
Gaskin ranks as the 7th overall value at the running back position in our FanDuel Study Hub. He and the Dolphins host the Atlanta Falcons and their 22nd ranked defense against the running back position. Gaskin allows me to fit in other studs throughout my roster while giving me decent production.
NFL DFS DraftKings Studs for Tournaments for Week 7
Lamar Jackson – QB – Baltimore Ravens – $7.4k
Jackson carries the 2nd highest projection at the quarterback position in our NFL DFS Study Hub for DraftKings. The Ravens face the Cincinnati Bengals who rank 10th against the QB position so I’m expecting a run heavy output from Jackson.
Robert Woods – WR – Los Angeles Rams – $6.4k
Cooper Kupp had a huge week last week and will probably play well this week, but I’m looking for Woods to be the lead receiver this week. He’s $2k less than Kupp on DK and gives us exposure to a game Vegas thinks will be high scoring.

Kyler Murray – QB – Arizona Cardinals – $8.7k
Kyler and the Cardinals take on the Houston Texans who rank 25th against the quarterback position. It’s not as if Murray needs an easy matchup to put up big fantasy points so he should thrive this weekend.
Tyreek Hill – WR – Kansas City Chiefs – $8.5k
The Titans defense is ranked 32nd against the wide receiver position, and take on the Chiefs in a game with a 56.5 implied total. I’m looking for Hill to play a big role in the scoring in this game. Neither of these teams are great at defense so a shootout is in play and the benefits Hill.
