Crafting the Lineup with Strategy
When building this lineup using Fantasy Cruncher, I employed a deliberate strategy. My aim was to create a lineup that maximizes the potential for strong synergy among players. Here’s a breakdown of the key elements of this strategy:
QB Stacking: I prioritized a 2-player stack with my quarterback. This approach allows for a more interconnected lineup, where the QB’s performance can significantly impact the selected wide receiver, tight end or running back potentially leading to higher point production. Ideally you would want to only include pass catching backs in a stack like this.
Opponent Bring-Back Stack: To further enhance the lineup’s versatility and mitigate risk, I ensured the inclusion of at least one player from the opposing team. This “bring-back stack” allows for potential maximum upside as we are attempting to benefit from a game environment exploding where both teams are putting up points in bunches.
Secondary Game Stack: Additionally, I strategically incorporated a secondary game stack involving players from a different game. This secondary stack has the same fundamental thought process as the main game stack as we’re looking to capitalize on players in a different game with a great game environment.
Below, you will see the setup inside Fantasy Cruncher to get a lineup like this with 2 unique stacks. You can add several layers to this if you’d like but this is the basic setup.

Quarterback (QB)
Jalen Hurts (PHI)
Match: PHI @ LA – 4:05 PM ET | Salary: $36 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 23.76
Jalen Hurts is coming off another impressive week with a Top-10 fantasy ranking. He’s a QB1 option facing a Rams defense that ranks 9th against fantasy QBs. In his last game, Hurts completed 25-of-37 passes for 319 yards and two touchdowns, adding 34 rushing yards. The Eagles’ offense has been firing on all cylinders, consistently scoring 25 or more points per game this season. Hurts looks to replicate his success against the Rams in Week 5.
Running Back (RB)
Kyren Williams (LA)
Match: LA vs PHI – 4:05 PM ET | Salary: $19 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 15.55
Kyren Williams has been a fantasy gem, posting 25 or more fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 outings. He’s set to be an elite RB1, even against an Eagles defense that ranks 7th against fantasy running backs. Although he’s dealing with a minor hip contusion, Williams is expected to play in Week 5. Coach Sean McVay has reassured that it’s precautionary, and he should be a solid RB2/flex play against Philadelphia’s defense.
Rhamondre Stevenson (NE)
Match: NE vs NO – 1:00 PM ET | Salary: $17 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 12.97
Rhamondre Stevenson aims to bounce back after a couple of slow weeks. He faces a Saints defense that ranks 6th against fantasy running backs, making him a boom-or-bust RB3. Keep an eye on Stevenson’s practice participation, as he’s listed with a thigh injury. If limited or out, Ezekiel Elliott could see more action in Week 5.
Wide Receiver (WR)
Chris Olave (NO)
Match: NO @ NE – 1:00 PM ET | Salary: $21 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 13.95
Despite a rough outing last week, Chris Olave remains an intriguing option. New Orleans faces a New England defense ranked 3rd in DVOA against WR1s. While he caught just one pass in his previous game, Olave is poised to bounce back in the coming weeks. His volatility is something to monitor, but the potential is there within this offense.
A.J. Brown (PHI)
Match: PHI @ LA – 4:05 PM ET | Salary: $25 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 14.02
A.J. Brown had a standout performance in Week 4, scoring 34 fantasy points. He looks to build on that momentum against a Rams defense that ranks 7th against fantasy receivers. Brown’s ability to break tackles and rack up yardage makes him a top wideout in the NFL. Fantasy managers can confidently start him in Week 5.
Tyreek Hill (MIA)
Match: MIA vs NYG – 1:00 PM ET | Salary: $40 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 18.71
Tyreek Hill had a quieter week with just 9 fantasy points, but he’s set to bounce back against the Giants, who rank 14th against fantasy wide receivers. Hill is a matchup-proof WR1, and he remains a must-start in Week 5, despite the dip in his recent performance.
Tight End (TE)
Dallas Goedert (PHI)
Match: PHI @ LA – 4:05 PM ET | Salary: $13 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 8.47
Dallas Goedert is looking to find his groove after a slow start to the season. Facing a Rams defense ranked 28th in DVOA against TEs, Goedert has the potential for a breakout game. Coach Nick Sirianni is confident that Goedert will get more involved in the offense, making him an intriguing option for your Week 5 lineup.
Flex (FLEX)
Alexander Mattison (MIN)
Match: MIN vs KC – 4:25 PM ET | Salary: $13 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 12.75
Alexander Mattison has rebounded from a slow start, posting 25 fantasy points over his last two games. He’s a solid RB2 option facing a Chiefs defense that ranks 8th against fantasy running backs. Mattison has been the lead back for the Vikings and should continue to see plenty of opportunities. However, he faces a tough matchup against the Chiefs in Week 5.
Defense (DEF)
Baltimore Ravens (BAL)
Match: BAL @ PIT – 1:00 PM ET | Salary: $14 | Projected Ownership: 0.00% | Projected Fantasy Points: 8.00
The Ravens’ defense and special teams unit had a standout performance in their last game, logging three sacks, three picks, and allowing just three points. They capitalized on facing a rookie backup QB and could be in for another strong showing against the Steelers in Week 5. Consider the Ravens’ D/ST as a solid option moving forward.
