nfl dfs

Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 1 Study Hub Breakdown! We’re going to highlight two players per position that stand out in both projections and ratings to get a feel for what plays stand out in the Study Hub. Let’s get into it!

Lamar Jackson – Lamar Jackson ranks third in the ratings and second in projections on both sites. The Ravens get a matchup with the Jets with an implied total of 25.75 this week. Jackson is projected for 31.09 pass attempts, 231.32 passing yards, 11.22 rushing attempts, 57.59 rushing yards, and 2.02 total touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Jackson has an 18.6% Rise% on DraftKings and a 22.2% Rise% on FanDuel. Jackson looks excellent and I would stack him with Mark Andrews or Rashod Bateman in tournaments.

Jalen Hurts – Jalen Hurts ranks as first in ratings and third in projections on both sites. The Eagles draw a matchup against the Lions with an implied total of 26.75. Hurts is projected for 31.69 pass attempts, 246.78 passing yards, 8.31 rushing attempts, 44.67 rushing yards, and 2.02 total touchdowns.

In the Range or Outcomes tab, Hurts has a Rise% of 16.9% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 19.8% on FanDuel. A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert are the top stacking options for Hurts!

RUNNING BACKS

Christian McCaffrey – McCaffrey ranks first in ratings on both sites while ranking first in DraftKings projections and second in FanDuel projections among running backs. Despite a Carolina team total of only 22, McCaffrey should get a massive workload as we have seen in the past. He is projected for 17.6 rushing attempts, 74.21 rushing yards, 5.66 receptions, 45.48 receiving yards, and 0.84 total touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, McCaffrey comes in with a Rise% of 16.3% on DraftKings and a 23.4% Rise% on FanDuel. That’s a massive number for a high-salary player and all signs point towards a solid day for McCaffrey on Sunday.

Joe Mixon – Mixon ranks fourth in ratings on both sites while ranking sixth in DraftKings projections and seventh in FanDuel projections. The Bengals come in with an implied total of 25.5 against the Steelers. Mixon is projected for 18.84 rushing attempts, 82.55 rushing yards, 2.64 receptions, 17.78 receiving yards, and 0.88 total touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Mixon has a Rise% of 20.9% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 25.8% on FanDuel. Mixon looks like a top tournament target this week and he should continue to get the bell-cow role for the Bengals running attack.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Justin Jefferson – Jefferson ranks first in ratings and projections on both sites. The Vikings should be in a competitive matchup against Green Bay with a game total of 47 and a spread of only -1.5 in favor of Green Bay. Jefferson is projected for 10 targets, 88.79 receiving yards, and 0.52 receiving touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Jefferson comes in with a Rise% of 21% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 26.1% on FanDuel. That’s really nice upside for Jefferson and he is a solid option in tournaments.

Marquise Brown – Brown ranks fourth in the ratings on both sites while ranking ninth in DraftKings projections and eleventh in FanDuel projections. Brown gets the benefit of being in the high total game of the week against the Chiefs with a game total of 53.5. Brown is projected for 9.8 targets, 64.33 receiving yards, and 0.43 receiving touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Brown comes in with a Rise% of 24.1% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 29% on FanDuel. Brown looks great for tournaments and is a pivotal piece for Kyler Murray stacks.

TIGHT ENDS

Mark Andrews – Andrews ranks first in ratings and second in projections on both sites. Andrews gets a solid draw against the Jets with the 25.75 implied total as mentioned before. Andrews is projected for 11 targets, 66.03 receiving yards, and 0.54 receiving touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Andrews comes in with a Rise% of 25.5% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 32% on FanDuel. The Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews skinny stack looks like a top option this week in the ratings!

Travis Kelce – Kelce ranks second in the ratings and first in projections on both sites. Kelce has a really nice price tag on DraftKings at $6,600 and is in the high-scoring environment against the Cardinals with a game total of 53.5. Kelce is projected for 8.3 targets, 71.49 receiving yards, and 0.58 receiving touchdowns.

In the Range of Outcomes tab, Kelce comes in with a Rise% of 18.3% on DraftKings and a Rise% of 28.2% on FanDuel. Kelce has solid upside on both sites and is definitely viable in tournaments!

Good luck on Sunday!
