I’ll take the good with the bad and move forward to week three. I will stress again the goal of this article is to give you an early outlook to help you research throughout the week.

QB’s

Matt Ryan – DK 6600 / FD 7800

Another week of heartbreak for the Falcons. After jumping out to a big lead in the first half the Falcons lost on a walk-off field goal to give the Cowboys a 40-39 win. Matty Ice threw for 273 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. In week 3 he’ll go against the Bears with an o/u of 48. I think he hits 300+ yards and 2+ touchdowns.

Carson Wentz – DK 5800 / FD 7600

Carson is simply too cheap on DraftKings. Going against the lowly Bengals at home in week 3 I think this is a great bounce-back spot for Wentz and the Eagles.

Nick Mullins – DK 5100 / FD 6500

Mullins is nearly minimum priced on DK at 5.1k. He doesn’t need to do a whole lot to hit value and will open valuable dollars to spend elsewhere. It doesn’t hurt that he’s going against the Giants.

RB’s

Miles Sanders – DK  6400 / FD 7400

I was off Sanders this week coming off a soft tissue injury, but he proved to be the lead back many were expecting him to be. He had 20 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted seven times hauling in three for 36 yards. He has the Bengals this week and we saw the damage Hunt and Chubb did Thursday night against them.

Jet McKinnon – DK 4900 / FD 5700

He was on my watchlist last week, he had three carries for 77 yards and a touchdown. It seems every important 49er got hurt – Jimmy G, Bosa, and most importantly Mostert. Tevin Coleman carried the ball 14 times for 12 yards. Let me repeat that, 14 carries for 12 yards. Shanahan will give Jet more opportunities with Mostert out and Coleman looking worse than pedestrian.

Jonathan Taylor – DK 7000 / FD 6700

The rookies priced went from 5.7k to 7k on DK and I’m more than willing to pay this price. He is underpriced on FanDuel. He carried the ball 26 times for 101 yards and a touchdown. He also caught both of his targets for nine yards. People were afraid the team would go with a committee and split carries with Nyheim Hines, but Hines didn’t have a rushing attempt. They’re going to feed the kid and I’m all for it. They are at home against the Jets who just gave up 182 yards rushing to the 49ers.

WR’s

Dionte Johnson – DK 5400 / FD 6300

Johnson has double-digit targets in both games played this season and I do not see them stopping anytime soon. I think defenses will key in on JuJu giving the kid ample 1-on-1 opportunities.

Ceedee Lamb – DK 5400 / FD 5600

This Dallas offense has a laughable amount of talent on it. Cooper and Dak were on my list last week, this week it’s Ceedee’s turn. The rookie was targeted nine times, he caught six of them for 106 yards. They go against the Seahawks this week and we saw that Matt Ryan and his trio of receivers did to that defense.

Robby Anderson – DK 5200 / FD 6100

Robby is an interesting case. He saw eight and ten targets in his first two games with Carolina. He’s had the benefit of defenses keying on Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore. McCaffrey left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. I haven’t seen anything on McCaffrey yet but if he plays, I think it bodes well for Anderson.

TE’s

Hayden Hurst – DK 4700 / FD 5700

Hurst saw eight targets on Sunday, caught five of them for 72 yards and a touchdown. After the game, Julio Jones said he played through a hamstring injury which may be why he only had two targets. If Julio is out or limited Hurst will no doubt see a larger target share come week three.

Logan Thomas – DK 3700 / FD 4900

Thomas was on a lot of people’s radar this week after an impressive week one. Thomas saw nine targets against the Cards this week. He only brought in four of them for 26 yards. He’s going up against a sub-par defense in the Browns. Cleveland has given up three touchdowns to TE so far this season and I think they are going to be a team I will continue to target.

Jordan Reed – DK 4000 / FD 5300

Reed’s price jumped $1400 on DraftKings after his two-touchdown performance. He is not in play unless Kittle misses next week’s game, which after all the knee injuries that took place at MetLife stadium. Players had expressed concern about the condition of the turf and if it truly is a concern, I can see the 49ers holding out Kittle another week.
