NFL Week 17 DraftKings Strategy Guide

Hello and welcome to the week 17 Team Rise or Fall DraftKings Strategy Guide. This is it, family, the last week of the regular season. In what has been a terrible year for most I’m glad we were able to have football to get our minds off some of the stresses of real life. I hope this NFL season has been as profitable for you as it has been for me. Let’s make some money on this slate.
Remember, in our cash games I’m not looking for a 2% owned play that no one else is on. I want high floor plays, receivers who are getting 7+ targets, and running backs who rack up the touches (carries and receptions). Remember we need to best half the field, not everyone.
In tournaments, we want to seek out correlation. I want to stack my quarterback with one, even two pass catchers and to run it back with a receiver on the opposing team. It is here where we can run out that 2% owned play in hopes of shooting to the top of the leaderboards and taking down a big one.
Before I dive into my plays – NBA season is here! We’ve already had multiple members with 5 figure winnings early this season. Our projections are top-notch – if you don’t believe me, the winnings speak for themselves. The icing on the cake is that we give you a $20 FantasyCruncher credit to be used on THE best optimizer in the industry. I cannot stress this enough – if you like winning, why haven’t you joined our team?
Start winning today
The key to this slate will be watching for teams playing to get into the playoffs and players looking to prove something. Think about yourself before a vacation, some, not all of you, mail it in thinking about what you’re going to be doing on your upcoming break. These guys have brutally beaten themselves up for the last four months and are ready for a break.
Cash Games
Quarterback
Kyler Murray
Murray will be a staple in my cash games plays this week. The Team Rise or Fall NFL Study Hub projects him to be the 7th highest scoring quarterback on the slate. There are a couple of factors that have me on him. First and foremost is the need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Cardinals will need some help to get in, but they have to do their part to ensure that even have an opportunity. I expect that Cards coach Kliff Kingsbury will hold nothing back and unleash Murray on the Rams.
Running Back
Malcolm Brown
On the other side of the ball the Rams are looking to be without starting quarterback Jared Goff and running backs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. At $4.3k he’ll garner very high ownership. He’ll have plenty of opportunity with Jared Goff out and no other backs to compete with for touches.
GPP
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers
The Packers can lock up the number one seed in the NFC with a win against the Bears. Rodgers projects as the 5th highest scoring quarterback in the NFL Study Hub. He’ll look to build on this season’s MVP-like resume and lock up that number one seed with another good game against division rival Chicago.
Running Back
Derek Henry
DeHember will be over by the time the game is played but no other back on the slate has the slate-breaking possibility that King Henry has. He is the second-highest projected running back according to the NFL Study Hub. He does have a low floor due to his lack of participation in the passing game, but it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see him run rampant over the Texans like he did earlier this season when he went for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Stack
QB – Aaron Rodgers
WR – Devante Adams
Opposing WR – Allen Robinson
I’m fully expecting this game to be very competitive. Both teams have something to play for – The Packers playing for the #1 seed and the Bears control their playoff destiny, win and they’re in.
I’ve already toughed on Rodgers earlier in the article. He’s been excellent this season and the argument can be made that it has been MVP caliber.
Devante Adams is the top wide receiver in our model this weekend. One can argue that he’s the best receiver in the league and no one really contains him. Fire him up with confidence.
We’re going to want to run back this stack with the Bears’ top pass-catching option in Allen Robinson. Since Mitchell Trubisky was renamed the starter he’s averaging nearly 10 targets a game and putting up nearly 20 DraftKings points in that time frame.
I wish you all the best as we end 2020 and enter into the new year!
