Stack: Tennessee Titans

Tennessee is coming off a big win on Tuesday Night Football against the Bills. The matchup against the Texans is a juicy one. The Houston defense is a run funnel. looking at the Team Rise or Fall Study Hub, we see that they allow 160.4 rushing yards per game but tighten the screws on opponent’s aerial attacks allowing only 227 yards per game.

Everyone knows that Derrick Henry is going to be the focal point of the Titans run-heavy offense. Henry projects in our Study Hub as one of the highest usage running backs on the week and is expected to get as many carries as he can handle.

The key to this stack will be quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill has been extremely efficient completing nearly 69% of his passes while not turning the ball over. Through four games Tannehill has only one interception to his nine touchdown passes. If we play the game theory concept, the Texans will be looking to stack the box and stop King Henry from going bonkers which should afford Tannehill the opportunity to throw the ball. Our Study Hub shows him as the top value at the quarterback position in week six on DraftKings, while on FanDuel he ranks as the third-best value.

As we saw on Tuesday night, assuming Corey Davis will continue to be out, A.J. Brown and Jonnu Smith will receive the lion’s share of the targets. According to our Study Hub, through the four weeks, they have been responsible for 32% and 23% of the market share of targets, respectively.

Get creative in the way you choose to stack the Titans and as always make sure you run it back with a Houston wide receiver. Will Fuller and Brandin Cooks are going to be the receiving targets you are looking at to run back your Titans stacks.

Stack: Detroit Lions

The Lions are going up again the Jaguars in Jacksonville this week. The Jacksonville defense is a shell of what it was a few years back and it shows, using the Team Rise or Fall Study Hub we can look at some high-level overview of their numbers.

While Matthew Stafford hasn’t been lighting up stat lines this season our Study Hub projects him to be a solid play on DraftKings and Fandel. The Jacksonville defense ranks 27th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks and our projections model likes his chances at putting up a big day. Stafford does look to be a better value on DraftKings than on FanDuel.

I don’t like the idea of fitting any of the Lion’s running backs into a stack as their playtime is so spread out. Our data shows snaps percentage over the last four weeks (three for the Lions as they had a bye last week). The team relies on a committee and I for one don’t like the idea of lucking into a touchdown for them to make value in tournaments.

We have options when it comes to paring Stafford with his pass-catchers. The most popular pick is going to be Kenny Golladay. Golladay, who missed the first two weeks of the season, slotted right in as Stafford’s favorite target, amassing a 25% target share in the two weeks he played. Our model thinks this is a trend that will continue as seen below as Golladay’s projection for the weekend.

The guy who will go under-owned due to his performance is Marvin Jones Jr. The lack of production from Jones has been infuriating considering how much he’s on the field, which has been roughly 90% of all snaps! Given how much he’s on the field there will be a game where he blows up for that random four touchdown week and it very well maybe this week.

As always look to run back you Lions stacks with a receiver from the Jaguars. Last year’s break out wideout DJ Chark continues to miss practice with an injury, but the guy I like this week is rookie Laviska Shenault. He’s continued to get looks from Gardner Minshew and if Chark misses the game Sunday it would increase Shenault’s opportunities.
