PGA DFS Lineup Advice for the Charles Schwab Challenge

PGA DFS Lineup Advice for the Charles Schwab Challenge
Last week, I shared my PGA DFS lineup advice for the PGA Championship. As per usual, I built two different lineups that I shared on Twitter. I’m sorry to say that my hot streak came to a screeching halt with this tournament. But… such is life and I’m back this week in full force!
Keep reading for some of my best PGA DFS Lineup Advice for the Charles Schwab Challenge.
The Charles Schwab Challenge (aka The Colonial National Invitation) is being held at The Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. It happens to be the longest-running tournament in PGA history at the same location. I found that to be pretty neat! This course has pretty narrow fairways and many holes are lined with trees. This week, I’m looking pretty closely at Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation. If you have any memory of Texas tournaments, you’ll know that players from Texas often play very well in their “home” state.
Within the top 3 on FanDuel, you’ll find Thomas, Scheffler, and Morikawa. On DraftKings, it’s the same, but with Scheffler on top, followed by Thomas and Morikawa. Do with that what you will!
For my research, I utilize a variety of resources, but my main resource is the premium content provided exclusively to Team Rise or Fall subscribers in our PGA Study Hub. If you’re curious about this exclusive member service, use my promo code KIP to receive $10 off your first month of membership. You’ll also receive a $20 voucher to Fantasy Cruncher every single month, where you can populate your PGA DFS lineup in a snap!
Here’s today’s video, showing how I’ve utilized the Study Hub in order to give you the best PGA DFS Lineup Advice for the Charles Schwab Challenge:
DFS Picks $10,000 – $12,000
Scottie Scheffler ($11,800 on FD and $11,200 on DK)
While he played terribly last week, Scottie Scheffler is still currently ranked the number one player in the world. I’m playing him again this week. Feels like deja vu, huh? He’s one of the many Texas players to keep an eye on this week and does play well on Texas courses. Last week was his worst showing in quite a while, but he’s ranking 3rd in birdies, which is what we want in DFS, and 3rd in Greens in Regulation.
Jordan Spieth ($11,400 on FD and $10,400 on DK)
Another Texas boy… I feel confident that Spieth will do well this week in his home state. He’s currently ranked 9th in the world. He’s a player that’s likely to hit an Eagle (ranked 5th) and 24th in Greens in Regulation. Spieth’s hitting 84% Good Drives and has the best event history out of the group I’m analyzing.
DFS Picks $8,000 – $10,000
Max Homa ($10,800 on FD and $9,400 on DK)
Homa is pretty pricey on FanDuel, but I’m including him here in my “midrange” values. Let’s talk about his approach game. That’s going to be important on this course with its somewhat smaller (and likely faster, drier) greens. He’s ranking 16th in his Strokes Gained Approach to the Green and 11th in overall Strokes Gained. In his last 7 events, he’s placed in the top 20, with the exception of one event, where he placed 48th, still making the cut.
Chris Kirk ($8,700 on FD and $7,900 on DK)
Chris Kirk is probably my favorite pick this week. I’ll absolutely have him in my lineups. The analytics just make sense. He ranks 7th in Tee to Green and Around the Green Strokes Gained. He’s also ranking 16th in Eagles this season! He’s hitting a Good Drive 83% of the time and ranks 41st in Driving Accuracy. I really like him at this price this week.
DFS Picks $6,000 – $8,000
Sebastian Munoz ($9,000 on FD and $7,700 on DK)
Again, a bit pricey on FanDuel, but still a great value and some very spicy analytics for this course. This season, he’s made the cut in 12 of 17 events and made the top 25 five times. His Driving Accuracy is 62%, which is really pretty good and exactly what we need on this course. I urge you to sign up to be a member of Team Rise or Fall and see more in the Study Hub or watch my video for more!
Other Players on my Radar:Â
Tom Hoge
