I’ve decided to go ahead and put together a list of players from each professional football team that could have some big weeks during the season at a low cost! So, in a way, I’m using my crystal ball to look ahead into the season, and these are the players I’ve come up with. I have gone over all 32 NFL teams with a fine-toothed comb for this one! I also took it upon myself to look at each roster and schedule!
Admittedly, this is a weird idea, but it is also fun. Given the fact that it’s the summer and we do not know a thing about each roster, I find this idea terrific! Truth be told, I have spent a few weeks going through each team and their schedule. After a few notes and ideas, I came to one conclusion. All we have are the past experiences of these individual players. For example, can we trust Rashaad Penny to stay healthy? Probably not, so let’s study Ken Walker III. The same goes for Arizona Cardinals running back James Connor. So, let’s dig into Darrel Williams. I am sure you see my point in all this.
This is not some groundbreaking article or profound idea, but daily fantasy sports have become a massive part of our regular everyday lives. I love the idea of publishing this now in July and then being able to refer to it throughout the 2022 NFL season. Most of what we do with DFS is based on experience, gut calls, and quick decisions. So, let’s get started on it all a little early!

Just know I am trying to go through the entire season, right now, and the price tags of each player mentioned in this article. During each week one guy will become a beautiful value! I’m trying to predict that all now, in August! Let’s have some fun!

New England Patriots TE – Hunter Henry
Hunter gets no respect! I find Hunter to be an elite DFS TE option week in and week out. What makes it all even better is the lack of pricing every flipping week! Last season Hunter was very busy near the goal line, ranking first in touchdowns and second in end zone targets (12). I am fully expecting a bigger boost in targets and in addition to his heavy goal-line usage Hunter should return value every week in DFS formats. What I also love is the fact his price tag in all formats is next to nothing. Plus, most DFS players look at the top-5 stud TEs and leave it alone. Mac Jones will take a big step forward in 2022 thus lifting Hunter Henry!
New England Patriots rookie RB – Pierre Strong Jr.
I am aware this one is out in the left field but let me explain. How many times mid-season are running backs banged up and the game plan calls for a slow grinding type game plan? Damien Harries, Rhamondre Stevenson, and James White* are all one, two, and three on the depth chart. Unfortunately, at some point during the season Harris, White, and maybe even Stevenson may be banged up and out of action. I’m not saying Pierre will get lead-back duties in any game this year but there is a chance he sees RB2 action in a game or two. Let me remind you Strong is a work in progress in passing situations. What better time to practice than right now and in summer OTA’s? The kid has a large wingspan and ran a class-best 4.37 40-yard dash. Keep an eye out during the season. If he is thrust into action I’d be willing to bet his price tag in DFS formats will be dirt cheap!
*Since writing this Pierre Strong blurb it has come to my attention that Damien Harris may be traded away from the Patriots thus bumping up Rhamondre Stevenson. James White has also retired. So as of now the idea of Mr. Strong being a capable productive back every week has become stronger and more realistic!Â
