Most humans get caught up in pleasing others that they forget to take care of themselves. Wow, what a profound statement Chris! I can only do so much, and sometimes the best message is a simple one! My smart-alecky tone aside, we are of no help to anyone if we aren’t right with ourselves!
What a time to be alive! Two pivotal Game 5’s and an elimination game in New York. I also feel like we have been talking hockey this season for years on end! Let’s look into tonight’s three-game schedule after the Avalanche made quick work of the Nashville Predators!

The Penguins skate into New York to battle the Rangers in Madison Square Garden tonight. Pittsburgh has won the last two games outscoring the Rangers 14-6! A win tonight would seal the series for the Pens and send the Rangers packing.
First-line winger Jake Guentzel is leading the team in goals with five. Captain Sidney Crosby leads the team in assists with seven and in points with nine. Guentzel isn’t too far behind as he has accumulated six points. The Pittsburgh power play is humming right now as they have tailed a power-play goal in each of their four games.
The over has cashed in each of Pittsburgh’s last 5 games. While the over has cashed in each of New York’s last 4 games. The Pens are also 4-1 in their previous 5 games. Hate to say it but the Rangers are done. The Penguins are just playing some unbelievable hockey right now.

Boy oh, boy what a series! Without a doubt, the best game on tonight’s hockey schedule! The Panthers head home tonight to face off against the Washington Capitals in game five. Luckily for Florida, they squeaked out an overtime win on Monday, 3-2.
Stacking the Capitals tonight, to me, is the definition of value and even leverage. Just by playing the law of averages, I find the Cap’s to be interesting enough to stack. Washington has surprisingly outscored Florida in this series 13 goals to 11. The local Washington papers have been talking about Ovi and his need to take control of this series. One of the best, all-time goal scores, Ovechkin, will go nuclear tonight. Count on it!

This series has been awesome yet shocking. Full disclosure I made the mistake of thinking the Panthers were going to roll right over the Capitals. Yet, Ovi and the boys have had other plans. The Panthers are 15-5 in their last 20 games and game 5 tonight is so damn important. Look for a heavily contested game in Florida tonight as this one is fast and hard-hitting. The winner here is inconsequential. Give us goals, points, and assists!
Everything in my heart is pointing to the Washington Capitals winning tonight but I am also fighting this battle where I cannot see the Panthers losing game 5 on home ice!
