Stanley Cup Playoff Hot Pucking Stacks!

The Stanley Cup Playoffs, to me, are just like sitting at a roulette table and playing the odds. Betting on the hot numbers and realizing what the cold numbers are. Only with hockey, it’s specific players, lines, and the teams they play for.
A best of seven series is a funny thing. Especially in the first round. If Team A wins game one then you bet your bottom dollar Team B will win game two. More times than not, as the playoffs carry on and the competition gets harder and better that is the case. Round one, however, isn’t always that clear.
For instance, look at the Kings. Winners of game one and they battle the Oilers tonight and could really put the screws to Edmonton as they head to Los Angeles for Friday’s game. On paper and in the playoff seedings the Wild have been deemed better than the Blues as the series started in Minnesota. Yet, the Blues smoked the Wild, in their building, and I fully expect them to do it again tonight.

EDMONTON OILERS L1 vs. Los Angeles Kings 10p EST
Connor McDavid L1 & PP1(FD-$10,100)(DK-$9,000)
Evander Kane L1 & PP1(FD-$7,000)(DK-$6,000)
Jesse Puljujarvi L1 & PP2(FD-$4,500)(DK-$3,300)
There is just no way in hell the Oilers lose this game. Well, nothing is a sure thing, but the Oilers cannot afford to go down two games heading to Los Angeles for Game 3. The Kings are that perfect mix of good, dangerous, and with nothing to lose.
As usual Connor McDavid and even Kailer Yamamoto leads the Oilers on offense as they each had one with one goal and one assist. Star, second-line center, Leon Draisaitl added one goal while three different Edmonton Oilers had one assist each.
No way Edmonton can afford to lose this game. If so, they give the Kings a TON of momentum heading back to Los Angeles. The total has gone over in 5 of Oiler’s last 7 games.
Stack up the Oilers’ first line as they win by a final score of 5-1! Edmonton ties the series, and they take it to California!

CAROLINA HURRICANES L1 vs. Boston Bruins 7p EST
Sebastian Aho L1 & PP1(FD-$7,400)(DK-$6,200)
Seth Jarvis L1 & PP1(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,400)
Andrei Svechnikov L1(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,600)
Carolina made the Bruins look foolish on Monday. The Hurricanes locked down The Bruins in game 1 as they won 5-1! Vincent Trocheck and Seth Jarvis each scored a goal in addition to each having an assist. What I love is the fact The Hurricanes had five different players score a goal on Monday!
The Boston Bruins shoot the puck at such a clip they rank 1st overall in the NHL. On Monday they even outshot Carolina 36-25! At the time of puck drop tonight, Boston is shooting, on average, 36 shots a game! My initial reaction is to say Boston was out of sorts. Or they were not in sync. None of those statements would be true. Game one was all about Carolina goalie Antti Raanta. Raanta stopped 35 of Boston’s shots! That kind of momentum for a goalie in the Stanley Cup Playoffs can be deadly. We shall see!
I firmly believe we see a six or seven-game series between Boston and Carolina, but I do not expect the Hurricanes to lose at home tonight. Stack the Canes 1st line with a smattering of their 2nd line!
I have the Hurricanes going up two games tonight as they win by a final score of 5-2.

ST. LOUIS BLUES L2 at Minnesota Wild 9:30p EST
Robert Thomas L2 & PP1(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,200)
Pavel Buchnevich L2 & PP1(FD-$6,500)(DK-$4,500)
Vladimir Tarasenko L2 & PP1(FD-$7,800)(DK-$6,300)
Round and round we go! The beauty of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is the fact I find it do be exactly like roulette. The Blues beat the Wild on Monday 4-0 so the smart money would be for Minnesota to bounce back, right? Wrong, I think St. Louis rolls again!
We have stacked up the Blue’s second line all year so why would the playoffs be any different? The Blues are 8-1 in their last 9 games on the road. The over has also cashed in 11 of St. Louis’s last 14 games on the road. Look for the Wild to start hot in this one. Maybe go up 1-0 or 2-0 but the Blues will find a way.
Take the Blue’s money line (+150) and stack up to their second line as they win by a final score of 4-2!
