As human beings, most folks are drawn to the easiest route. We chase that feeling of being comfortable. When we find it, we revel in it! Laziness will ensue along with little to no growth. Nothing will grow in comfort. There is this From Comfort Zone to Growth graphic I would like to share with you. There is a clear linear path from a comfort zone, fear zone, learning zone, and to the final growth zone!

In the Comfort Zone, we rest and relax. We have complete control in a low-risk setting where we basically turn our minds off and do what makes us most happy. The next step would be the Fear Zone! Sounds like a corny Alfred Hitchcock movie and it’s not far off! In the Fear Zone, we are easily influenced by others thus leading to low self-confidence. We can see the issues at hand, but we make excuses and concentrate on only the hardships not the solving of them.

As we progress through the bubble, we find ourselves in the Learning Zone! At this point, we are basically a sponge taking in as much information around us as possible. We extend our comfort zone as we search for more opportunities. Whether those opportunities are learning new skills or taking on more responsibilities we are ready to take the next step!

I look at the Comfort Zone to Growth as the Earth. It has several cores and if we want to reach the middle it takes a lot of digging. Meaning the journey can be long and arduous but worth it. The final steps here include setting goals and having the vision to see them succeed. With all this motivation we are paid back and given a high sense of self-worth. When confident we can take more risks and achieve whatever we set our minds to!

As we turn our attention back to hockey, I hope you are as jacked up as I am about tonight hockey’s schedule. There is a beautiful four-game schedule tonight just waiting for you to take advantage of it! Let’s dig in!

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING L1 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs 7:30p EST

Steven Stamkos L1 & PP1(FD-$8,400)(DK-$7,500)
Nikita Kucherov L1 & PP1(FD-$9,700)(DK-$8,100)
Ondrej Palat L1 & PP2(FD-$4,300)(DK-$3,400)

The Lightning are finally back home on Friday after splitting the two games in Toronto. Game three of this series against Toronto is as important as it gets! Tampa beat the Leafs 5-3 on Wednesday in Toronto. Stud first-line defenseman Victor Hedman scores a goal and notched three assists! TO be clear, the Lightning has only lost 8 total games at home all season!

Tampa has the advantage, for now, after swiping Game two in Toronto. The Maple Leafs are a worrisome 4-9 in their last 13 playoff games as an underdog. While the Lightning is 4-1 in their last 5 Friday games.

Watch as Tampa Bay asserts their dominance and wins by a final score of 5-2!

EDMONTON OILERS L1 at Los Angeles Kings 10p EST

Connor McDavid L1 & PP1(FD-$10,000)(DK-$9,000)
Evander Kane L1 & PP1(FD-$7,500)(DK-$6,200)
Jesse Puljujvari L1(FD-$4,600)(DK-3,400)

The Oilers head to Los Angeles to battle the Kings in Game 3 . Edmonton beat the brakes off the Kings, 6-0, on Wednesday to even the series at 1-1. Hate to say this but Edmonton should absolutely roll LA from here on out.

During this postseason, first-line winger Evander Kane has scored twice. Connor McDavid and defenseman Evan Bouchard are leading in assists(3). While Connor McJesus leads the team in points with four. Once the Oilers get it rolling it’s bad news for anyone in their path.

Edmonton is scoring, on average, an obscene 4.50 goals a game while only allowing around 2 goals a game. The Oilers are 5-2 in their last 7 games on the road. While the Kings are only 1-6 in their last 7 games as an underdog.

Game one was a blip on the Oiler radar. Edmonton will not look back and smash tonight and win by a final score of 5-2!

Matt Boldy L2 & PP2(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,300)
Kevin Fiala L2 & PP1(FD-$7,200)(DK-$6,000)

Minnesota and St. Louis are tied up at 1-1 in their series. On Wednesday the Wild won 6-2. While the Blues grabbed the series opener 4-0. So, as it stands now, we are in for one heck of a game 3 tonight at the Enterprise Center!

The Wild are scoring, on average, 3.70 goals a game on 33 total team shots. Defensively the Wild are giving up around 3 goals a game. The Blues are scoring, on average, 3.80 goals a game on 30 total team shots. While St. Louis, on defense, is allowing about 2.90 goals a game. Regardless of your personal beliefs, this is the series to watch and follow closely!

Minnesota is 1-6 in their last 7 games against the Blues. St. Louis is also 13-4 in their last 17 games. Look for the Blues to grab the win in this pivotal game 3!

The St. Louis Blues will play a complete game and beat the Wild by a final score of, 4-2!
