Hello! It has been too long! A lot has happened since we last sat down with my written baseball DFS article. Some good and some bad. However, we are still standing! I appreciate all the understanding and acceptance you have shown me. Now it’s time to gear up and look forward to the dog days of summer baseball!
Looking at tonight’s slate with a brief overview of the weather is my number one concern. The Braves at Phillies is a level red rain threat. So are the Guardians at Red Sox. The Tampa Bay Rays are in Baltimore tonight to battle the Orioles at 7:05p and there is a mild weather concern. So, per usual, double-check confirmed batting orders and weather concerns ahead of lock.

Today’s overall baseball schedule gives us 11 games! FanDuel’s Main slate is 11 games, and the first pitch is at 7:05p. DraftKings Main is also 11 games and locks at 7:05p. While Yahoo! main is also 11 games and locks at 7:05p. Let’s dig into some of my favorite plays for Monday, July 25th, shall we?
HOU at OAK 9:40p OF Kyle Tucker(FD-$3,700)(DK-$4,800)(Y!-$19)
Tucker is just the product of an outstanding opposing pitcher match-up tonight. Oakland is sending Adam Oller to the mound tonight. Get this, RHP Oller has a massive 8.56 ERA, and all Astros are in play tonight. Per the Rise or Fall Study Hub Tucker’s ownership percentage is at 12.8% on FD but his projection tier is an A. Kyle Tucker is a sure thing tonight.
COL at MIL 8:10p 2B/3B Brendan Rodgers(FD-$3,100)(DK-$4,400)(Y!-$16)
The offense so far in this series has been great! The Brew Crew and Rockies have combined for 43 runs over the first three games! While B-Rod has played well. He is also seeing the ball extremely well! Over his last two games, Brendan has 13 hits with three doubles, a home run, and seven RBI. Milwaukee pitcher Aaron Ashby has been no slouch seeing how most of his pitching metrics have been great. Ashby also has a beautiful array of pitches, but I think the window for success tonight with Rodgers is getting a hold of Aarons’s 4-seam fastball. He doesn’t throw it often(3.5%) but I am willing to bet he uses it as a first pitch several times tonight. Rodgers swings at the first pitch 65.2% of the time. That is our window! At only 0.7% ownership on FD and 1% on DK, this makes Rodgers a juicy one-off! Not to mention that the ROF Study Hub loves his rating on both FD and DK!
MIL vs. COL 8:10p SS Willy Adames(FD-$4,100)(DK-$5,100)(Y!-$20)
If you’re not aware the Brewers are my favorite stack of the night! When it comes to Willy in July, he is hammering the baseball and owns a .826 OPS with 15 runs, three doubles, five bombs, and 12 RBI through 18 games. Willy in July would make for a great movie seeing how he’s been locked in! Kyle Freeland is a serviceable pitcher. However, his 4-seam fastball and slider are his two favorite pitchers. His 4-seam is thrown 23.8% of the time and mostly inside. While his slider is 23.4% of the time down and in. Anything inside has been smashed by Willy as of late. Looking at the ROF Study Hub there is a lot to like about Adames tonight, but both his FD and DK value tier is what stand out. Stack up the Brewers or just one-off Willy!
ATL at PHI 7:05p 3B Austin Riley(FD-$4,100)(DK-$5,800)(Y!-$25)
Will be quick with Riley tonight cause unfortunately this game just might be PPD due to weather. Would never want to lead you astray but in the event, the rain holds off in Philadelphia Riley is in the best of spots! Over his last 20 games, Austin has whacked seven doubles and 10 home runs to produce 20 RBI. His current 1.337 OPS is astounding and when we talk Riley against left-handed pitchers his OPS is 1.135. Both are just outstanding. Check the weather first but Riley is a must-own tonight.

SEA vs. TEX 10:10p OF Julio Rodriguez(FD-$3,900)(DK-$5,500)(Y!-$23)
I am going to lump in both Ty and Julio into one nice blurb. All Mariners for that fact. The reason being is to oppose Texas pitcher Glenn Otto. His stats and pitching metrics are horrible across the board. For example, 89.6 EV, Hard Hit rate of 41.2%, xwOBA at .368, xSLG is at .462, K% of 17.4, and his BB% is at 12.6. All these rank as poor for pitching metrics. Look, between us, I think Seattle hangs 6 or 7 seven runs here with ease. Every Seattle batter is under 10% ownership tonight looking at the ROF Study Hub. The same goes for FD except for J-Rod at 11.1%. Lock and load Seattle tonight!
