Today’s overall baseball schedule gives us 15 total all-day games! FanDuel’s Main slate is 9 games, and the first pitch is at 7:05p. DraftKings Main is 9 games and locks at 7:05p. While Yahoo! main is also 9 games and locks at 7:05p. Let’s dig into some of my favorite plays for August 17th, shall we?

CLE vs. DET 7:10p 3B Jose Ramirez(FD-$4,200)(DK-$5,600)(Y!-$18)
As a Detroit Tigers guy, I can safely say Dan Norris is not good. Which can only happen if he is healthy and pitching. When we look at J-Ram he smacks around Norris to the tune of a .348 average in 25 plate appearances. When we dig into Jose’s numbers against Norris and his three favorite pitchers it is bananas! Ramirez’s success is as follows he has registered wOBAs of .385, .328, and .339 against Norris’ top three pitches. His four-seamer, slider, and changeup. His rating on the Rise or Fall Study Hub is a beautiful 74. Won’t pump him up anymore. It’s just too perfect!
TEX vs. OAK 8:05p OF Adolis Garcia(FD-$3,800)(DK-$4,200)(Y!-$23)
Right-handed hitter Adolis has been awesome in same-handed matchups. Garcia has smashed 15 of his 19 homers on the season against RHP and producing a gorgeous .337 wOBA. Oakland RHP Adam Oller has been bad this month and his 2.8 K/9 and 5.6 BB/9 in 9.2 innings across two starts this August says as much. Checking in with the Rise or Fall Study Hub, you will see Adolis has a 79.83 rating while his ownership percentage is a few points over 10%. Which is not an issue.
OAK vs. TEX 8:05p 1B/C Sean Murphy(FD-$2,700)(DK-$4,500)(Y!-$16)
The pitching match-up in Oakland tonight stinks. So, from Adam Oller on one side let’s pick on Cole Ragans and his 4.82 ERA. Sean hit his 14th bomb of the season on Tuesday to bring his total numbers up to 49 RBI and 48 runs scored this year. Murphy has started to pick up the pace this month as his batting average has hit .293 this month after a beautiful .299 average in July! A nasty pitching match-up in a big ballpark doesn’t seem too tempting but maybe I was just a day late here with my stacks video!
COL at STL 7:45p 2B/3B Brendan Rodgers(FD-$3,100)(DK-$5,300)(Y!-$17)
The pitching match-up is not a slam dunk here tonight. The Cards will send newly acquired Jordan Montgomery to the mound. However, B-Rod has been awesome against lefties all year, showing out to a .326 average, .908 OPS, .394 wOBA, and 141 wRC+. As usual, a large portion of his success vs. southpaws has come at Coors, Rodgers comes into this one on fire with a spicy .333/.397/.490 slash line and .384 wOBA in August! Check this out, his ownership percentage on FD is only 1.3% while on DK is the exact same. Too low to ignore!

TB at NYY 7:05p OF Harold Ramirez(FD-$2,300)(DK-$3,500)(Y!-$15)
Tonight will be Harold’s second game back after a trip to the IL after a thumb injury. No worries as he has been placed right back to batting 3rd in a potent Rays lineup! Ramirez is batting .328 on the season with four bombs and 35 RBI. The Yankees are falling apart right before our very eyes! The Yanks send Domingo Germán to the hill tonight, which I find to be favorable for Harold who sees every day at-bat. No crappy platoon just playing ball! H-Ram is hitting .314 against right-handed pitching with three home runs and 26 RBI. Per the Rise or Fall Study Hub, his measly 1.3% ownership on DK at his price tag is a slam dunk!
