Here we go for tonight’s baseball slate! The main slate is very tiny! Only five games so we have a slim margin of error! Don’t forget to check out today’s stack video below!
Today’s overall baseball schedule gives us 15 total all-day games! FanDuel’s Main slate is only 5 games, and the first pitch is at 7:05p. DraftKings Main is 5 games and locks at 7:05p. While Yahoo! main is also 5 games and locks at 7:05p. Let’s dig into some of my favorite plays for August 3rd, shall we?
SF vs. LAD 9:45p 2B/3B 9:45p Wilmer Flores(FD-$2,900)(DK-$4,000)(Y!-$15)
In 97 games, Flores is hitting .251 with 16 home runs, 56 RBI, and 54 runs scored, and batting at the top spot in San Francisco’s lineup is a huge boost! Looking at the Rise or Fall Study Hub his ownership percentage is sub 2% on FD and all good on DK at 6.9%.
PIT vs. MIL 7:05p 2B/SS 7:05p Kevin Newman(FD-$2,700)(DK-$3,400)(Y!-$14)
In 134 plate appearances, Kevin is hitting a solid .280 with 14 RBI, 12 runs scored, and four stolen bases. With a .326 batting average in his last 10 games, Newman is about to take off this month! Looking at the Study Hub he is, without doubt, a must-play on FD at only 1.8% ownership it’s a NO-BRAINER! However, on DK his rating is 54.16 and his ownership looks to be 7.8%. Still not enough to scare me away.
SD at COL 9:40p 2B 9:40p Jake Cronenworth(FD-$3,200)(DK-$4,600)(Y!-$14)
Now we are talking! Jake should be locked in the number two hole tonight, at least, followed by newly acquired Juan Soto at three! If all goes according to plan Jake will get on base and Soto knocks him home. I know that’s the best-case scenario, but I live in a half-glass full type world. As of right now, per the ROF Study Hub, his ownership percentages are through the roof. Sitting at 15.5% on Fanduel and 21.5% on Draftkings. We can take this one of two ways. Fade? Not a chance! Use him in cash games as he may cancel out against other entries.
STL vs. CHC 7:45p 1B Paul Goldschmidt(FD-$4,200)(DK-$6,300)(Y!-$22)
Paul has been on a tear this season. Goldschmidt is rolling into tonight’s game with a .332/.412/.611 slash line on the season following another awesome 2-for-3, three-RBI game last night and his 25th homer. What I like most about his Study Hub profile tonight is his 61.55 rating on Fanduel followed by his 12-point projection which he should smash with ease.

STL vs. CHC 7:45p SS Paul DeJong(FD-$2,200)(DK-$3,200)(Y!-$12)
Paul is back after the Cards made a few roster changes and trades. So far so good for Paul. His 11.5% ownership on DraftKings is giving me pause but he confirmed 7th in the lineup tonight. On Fanduel he makes for a nice little filler move at only $2,200!
