Top MLB DFS Stacks (Quick Overview)

Welcome back everyone, we’ve got a nice 8 game MLB slate to break down tonight. While others are focused on a Thursday Night Football game with a 38 total YUCK, we’ll be looking for top stacks in an exciting night of MLB DFS

Brewers vs Reds RHP Hunter Greene

Hunter Greene has been boom or bust this season for the Reds. He enters tonight’s game with a 29.8% strikeout rate, but, he’s allowed big time power to hitters from both sides of the plate. Against left handers he has allowed a 197 iso 47% fly ball rate and 42% hard contact rate this season. Against right handers he has given up a 231 iso 47% fly ball rate and 37% hard contact rate. If the Brewers can make contact, the chances are good that the ball will be hit hard and in the air, which is a combination we love to target with our stacks

There are 3 guys that really stand out to me for the Brewers tonight

Willy Adames – 514 xwoba 257 iso 44% hard contact
Rowdy Tellez – 273 iso 45% hard contact
Hunter Renfroe – 422 xwoba 237 iso 42% hard contact

Christian Yelich and Kolton Wong can be targeted here as well. Yelich has had a bit of a down year but he’s still got pretty pop with a 154 iso and 44% hard contact rate, while Wong has a 199 iso and 37% hard contact rate

Astros vs Orioles RHP Kyle Bradish

Kyle Bradish has been really good vs left handed hitters this year, only allowing a 289 woba 096 iso and a respectable 22.6% strikeout rate. Against right handed hitters however, he’s been pretty bad, allowing a 368 woba 201 iso 40% fly ball rate and 44% hard contact rate. If we’re going to target him, we’re going to do it with right handed batters tonight

My top right handed hitters on the Astros are below

Alex Bregman – 402 xwoba 223 iso 40% hard contact
Trey Mancini – 386 xwoba 176 iso 45% hard contact

While they don’t bat right handed, I’ll be sure to target these two lefties tonight vs the right handed Bradish. We know Bradish is pretty good against lefties, but, I’m banking on the elite numbers from these guys to win out in this matchup

Yordan Alvarez – 574 xwoba 359 iso 54% hard contact vs right handed pitching this season
Kyle Tucker – 445 xwoba 219 iso 41% hard contact vs right handed pitching this season

Load up on the righties, and mix in these two power lefties in your Astros stacks tonight

Are you ready to dominate?

Other mini stacks I like tonight

Blue Jays right handed hitters vs LHP Ryan Yarbrough who allows a 171 iso to right handed batters. Matt Chapman, Teoscar Hernandez and Danny Jansen make a nice low in the order stack in this matchup

Red Sox vs James Taillon who allows a 193 iso to lefties and a 185 iso to righties. The problem here is the Red Sox lineup is not great. Rafael Devers is the top option with his 391 woba 266 iso vs right handed pitching this season. After Devers you can mix in Xander Bogaerts, Alex Verdugo and J.D. Martinez

Yankees Aaron Judge vs RHP Michael Wacha. Judge has a 400 iso this year (yes 400) vs right handed pitching and while Wacha has not been bad, only allowing a 128 iso vs righties, how can you not play this guy every day the rest of the season? Lock him in, every day, in every matchup and just move along. Anthony Rizzo has a 248 iso vs righties this year and Giancarlo Stanton has a 264 iso vs righties, so, pair them with Judge if you’d like

Gaurdians, Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor have been on fire this year vs right handed pitching. Ramirez has a 258 iso while Naylor has a 237 iso. The matchup vs Johnny Cueto doesn’t scare me one bit here and these guys should continue to rake tonight.

Rankings Today

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’ll be using the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions

Something I like to do with this, is to give these players a THUMBS UP or 2, or 3, in Fantasy Cruncher so I can get more exposure to them throughout my lineups
